Yep, yep! Beat the Bills, lose to the Jets -- both are solid middle-of-the-road teams. Then, beat the Ravens on the road. That's winning 2 of 3 and a positive in anyone's book.

Best case scenario: this is a serious turning point for the franchise. Win the next three (which is certainly possible) and the team will sit at 6-6 and likely in first place. Win 2 of 3, you sit at 5-7 with the very real possibility of getting to 7-9 or 8-8 for the season. That would be a huge step forward for this team in a season that isn't about the record so much as it is about development of our franchise quarterback.

We need to Rock the Bank on Thursday night and help pull this team forward.

ESPN & NFL sez Jags should have been called for a game ending penalty.

Jamison Hensley, ESPN Staff Writer

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The NFL acknowledged that an officiating mistake cost the Baltimore Ravens a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

League spokesman Michael Signora said the Jacksonville Jaguars should've been penalized for a false start on their final play from scrimmage, which would've resulted in a 10-second runoff and a 20-19 victory for the Ravens.

The "P-word" has to be officially banned from the Baltimore Ravens' facility unless it's used to refer to painful, problematic or pitiful, Jamison Hensley writes.
Instead, the Jaguars were allowed to snap the ball, and Elvis Dumervil was flagged for a facemask of quarterback Blake Bortles. Jason Myers then kicked a game-winning 53-yard field goal with no time remaining for a controversial 22-20 win for the Jaguars.

"The correct call in this case would have been to penalize the offense for a false start because all 11 players were not set, and whistle to stop the play," Signora said. "The ensuing 10-second runoff should have ended the game."

On replays, it looked like the Jaguars' offensive line, specifically left tackle Luke Joeckel, were not set, which should've drawn an illegal procedure penalty. That would've led to a 10-second runoff, and the Ravens would've preserved a 20-19 victory.

"They didn't get the snap off in the sense that they didn't get everybody set," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday. "The league looks at it, they know it. There is nothing we can do about it now. It's unfortunate. It's disappointing. It's gut-wrenching. It's just the way it goes."

Close games have defined the Ravens' dismal 2-7 season. Baltimore is the first team in NFL history to start a season with nine straight games decided by eight points or fewer, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

"In the end, we have to overcome all that stuff," Harbaugh said. "I don't care about officiating. I don't care about weather. I don't care about field conditions. I don't care about our opponent. That's the way our guys look at it. It does not matter. You have to find a way to overcome everything. That's just what you have to do."

Good.  About time we catch a break.  There's holding on every play too.........Of course it was Joeckel, btw.

It happens. But it's not like Bortles want face asked, and Myers didn't put the ball through the uprights.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Exactly. And it's not like the Jags didn't have a few horrendous calls go against them last week against the Jets.

I'll take a tainted win over a loss with integrity any day.......

Hahahaha....

Completely agree.  I'd say most Patriot fans feel the same way as well.

I had the same sentiment when I first saw that, but to be fair he is a tackle and should be the last to line up to get the splits right (though i mean, that would've been a horrible reason to be penalized...just guess man!!)

I would love to be able to compare our wins/loss record with the Patriots.

I would never compare the fans.  There's only so much sense of entitlement and self-righteousness that any professional sports league can maintain, and it's mostly centered around Fexberah.

LOL!! But yes I do feel a little bad for Ravens fans and their players. I wish it hadn't ended the way it did cause I don't like controversy clouding our emotions. Feel particularly bad for Dumervil and the DB who dropped the extremely easy interception right before. But OTOH, of course I'm glad we won.

And indeed I felt worse for Duke because the Ravens have had success in recent years, including a championship. Duke has been a doormat for >95% of their existence.
