Great game by the defense. It's been many years since I have seen them have a game like that.

Aint that the truth. That game actually showed have been a shut out. Had Bortles not turned the ball over, the Browns would have had no points. Yesterday also showed why Poz is one of my favorite players. We give him some grief about his pass coverage, but the guy is a freakin beast and a hell of a football player. I wish we had a entire team full of Poz's. He's not perfect, but he goes hard from start to finish.

On a side note, Im getting much pleasure by seeing MJD riding the bench on a terrible team. He left here talking so much trash, just to ride the bench on a team that will be lucky to win one game.  :)

Haha. If you think Poz is a beast, just wait to see this guy named Wake on Sunday!

nice one! I don't think either me or Marino stayed around to watch the final minute of that game.

Marino wasn't around for the last 5 years of his career either ;)

This was the first game I was able to go to, and it looks like we chose wisely. The stadium was crazy throughout the game. It was a nice change of pace to see the visiting fan start the exodus before the Jags fans. Also good to see Bortles being self-critical even after a convincing win.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

He really had nothing to be proud about, and I guess that's a bigger reason, IMO, that I'm really pumped for the rest of the season.

In the games we lost, Bortles looked like the spark we needed to actually compete.  In a day when he was off, the rest of the team came together and won the game despite our QB.  It didn't hurt that we were rushing against the worse rushing D in the league, but putting that aside, our running game looked good.  D-Rob looked quick and kept pushing north and south - which is a great thing - lower your shoulder and pick up 3 instead of trying to turn  a corner you might never see. and losing 1.

If we can get everyone playing on Sunday against the Dolphins, there will be a lot of excitement in Jacksonville as we move to a "convincing" 2-6.  ;)

Except maybe for Lake... well..... you can't please everyone.   8)

Well losing two starters on defense just made it a lot tougher. Poz out for the season and Branch for 6 weeks

Hmm. I'll be starting Lamar Miller in one of my fantasy leagues!

What a great time this would be for Shad Khan to announce his Shipyards development plan.

What in the world was Browns coach Mike Pettine thinking in the second quarter? With the score 6-0 Browns, instead of kicking a field goal which would've made it a two possession game, he goes for it? Horrible decision on his behalf. It seems like all of the momentum went the Jags way after that. Thank you Mikey, LOL

If it was 25-30 years ago, I could agree with you but the game has changed.

Backs like Jamaal Charles, Lesean McCoy, Frank Gore, Demarco Murray were all 2nd, 3rd, 4th round picks. The day of first round running backs is over.
Don't be so sure about that. Seattle proved last year how valuable a running back remains for elite teams and Dallas is doing it this year.

Gurley is *going* to be selected in the first round, barring some personal issues cropping up, etc.

We need him in Big Duval.

And Demarco Murray was a third round pick.
