Bortles looks like the real deal and his receiving corp could be solid.

But the rest of the offense is bad. No running game, no push from the line.

And the defense (outside of Bryant, Marks and Cyprien) is embarrassing.

Bradley is a defensive coach and his defense looks clueless.

We have Storm Johnson, who in combination with Bortles at UCF made that program's offense much more viable.  Why not just put him in?  He certainly is comfortable with his starting QB.

Winston Guy was just cut... The front office isn't playing around with the vets being held accountable.

^^^I'm fine with that move. It seems like the secondary was playing pretty good until Dwayne Gratz got that concussion.

Jags and Cowboys will wear poppies on their uniforms when they meet at Wembley to acknowledge UK's 'Remembrance Day'. Of course everything overly-multicultural is 'undeniably a win-win' for the NFL, so whatever...As the top poster said on the link, the Jags already have a lot of patches as is.

This makes senses for a couple of reasons.

The Jags patch was definitely designed as a salute to the military life here in greater Jax.
Since the NFL is a highly watched medium, anything they promote or display will get alot of exposure. Similar to the pink shoes etc for breast cancer awareness.

I dont see any issue in recognizing our hosts (London) special days.

If Premier League had a match at EverBank Field on Memorial Day, and decided to honor the day on their uniforms, I wouldnt give it a second thought.

As far as the Jags go, I was impressed on how Cyprien shut down Antonio Gates. I just wish the rest of the team would get at that level.

I like the "play every down or get cut" mentality. Its harsh but a stark reminder that the Jags leadership is serious in their goals.

Im fine with how things are going. The coaching staff is addressing issues, and working to resolve them. If said player is not performing up to par, they are being benched and/or released. Thats how it should be. But we are seeing is a team that is being built from stracth. Todays NFL teams dont have the guts to build a team this way. They are buidling a team through the draft and supplementing through free agency. I dont care about the playoffs right now I want them to build the team RIGHT way. Get these young guys in, develop them and have them on the roster for years to come. The titans are an example of overspending in free agency, and they are looking like the same ole titans.  Spending does not automatically guarantee winning. There are still alot of holes in our roster and we have alot of rookies out there on the field, so Im not suprised at what we are seeing. Not to mention, 3 of the 4 teams weve played so far were in the playoffs last year. A Playoff team versus a team that barely won 4 games the previous season equals a SEVERE mismatch.

But I think Blake is the first key so its good we have him in now. The O-line still needs work, but the fact that bortles is mobile and can escape the pocket and make plays will give the O-line time to develop and Gel. That takes a ton of pressure off of them. It has also open up the run game, which again is giving the O-line a chance to work together. Opposing defense know stacking the box against Bortles is pointless.

Interesting information coming out on Jistin Blackmon too. Would be great news if he truly gets his life back together, obviously more so for him than the Jags.

Yea people are dogging him but I honestly want him to be a success story and beat this addiction. This is about more than sports.

The team is selling some standing room only tickets.

The Bank is going to be packed on Sunday. And yes, there will be a lot of Steelers fans. A lot.

Totally agree.

Been hearing rumors that he was actually at the Chargers game on Sunday in the crowd:

Really looking forward to this one. One of the most exciting home games in quite a while!

I'm definitely looking forward to it. I hope the Jags fans will be rowdy and loud to help negate the Steelers fans presence. It was nice to hear how loud it was when Bortles went in against the Colts, even though half the stadium left...

Not a bad atmosphere yesterday despite the tens of thousands of Steeler fans.

Would have been a great day for a win but wasn't meant to be I guess.

I know the team is rebuilding. But man, they suck.
