No make no sense at all. Why don't we move downtown to the SS as well while were at it?

There also aren't any real parking or traffic issues at the current stadium..

I agree.  A skyway extension would make things much better though.

I think the idea he posted is absurd. mostly because he suggests the Gator Bowl and the Jaguars having two different stadiums. And our stadium being less than 20 years old.

But building football stadiums in the suburbs is not absurd at all. Look at the newer stadiums for the Cowboys (Arlington), Arizona (Glendale) and San Francisco (Santa Clara). All suburbs.

duvaldude08

That is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. How would moving the stadium to the southside, where there are traffic issues already, help solve traffic issues? There is zero traffic downtown on Sundays, aside from game day traffic. I personally have no problem getting to and from the stadium. Who the hell would want to drive to Nocatee to go to a game? This dude must have been drunk when typing this

people push to have things closer to where they live....I think what is being insinuated here is that Jags fans with money come from the southside, beaches, and St. Johns County....and that downtown is just too far away (and scary too)

this was clearly part of the motivation for Miami abandoning its intown stadium for one on the Broward County line...and also why the Braves have a AAA team and stadium in suburban Gwinnett County.

Quoteand an exurban location would have .

no adequate road access.  If you think that relying on Phillips Highway to quickly move 68,000 people into and out of an area is a good move... I invite you to try driving to/out of a Patriots game in Foxboro.

This is dumb.  Does 1010xl let any wannabe journalist post on their website now?

Need more development in that area before a Skyway extension truly makes any fiscal sense. There's plenty of parking for the Suns and concerts and the JTA shuttle works well for Jags games. So why spend $100M+ unless there's a hotel/condo and/or residential component there besides just events. You can't build the Skyway around events - must have something more substantial and sustainable.

Way to be part of the problem, 1010XL. How about this... lets move the homeless shelters down there too. That would be awesome.

In order to sign He Who Shall Not Me Named, the Patriots had to release backup QB Mike Kafka to create a roster spot.

The Jaguars immediately claimed Kafka.

If he makes the final roster, I am going to run out of Metamorphosis jokes.

The Patriots choose to release backup QB Mike Kafka.

I would release him for TEBOW too.

Did the Jaguars immediately claim Kafka to save face?

"Circle of Life"

The Jags 'had" to drop Matt Veldman to get Mike Kafka.

Anybody else have a problem with Angie's Sub posting this "I can't imagine a scenario where Belichick knows more about football than I" message on their signboard????....

I-10east

^^^Angie's has been on that 'Tebow will save the Jags' crap from the get go, just like the good ole' boys at Morgan & Morgan. Gotta take 'those types' with a grain of salt. Remember, Angie's Subs is the same establishment that endorsed Michele Bachmann of all people for president.
