Rally in Nocatee. Thoughts?

Well I guess if we can get all 32 residents of Nocatee signed up, it's a worthwhile event...  ;-)

In all seriousness, I think it's a good move to pull from the Ponte Vedra, CR210 area.  These are a lot of the fair-weather fans with disposable income that the team should be catering to, and I've never seen him in person, but from the videos I've seen, Bradley could sell ice-cubes to an eskimo based on excitement level alone.  The dude stays amped up and it's infectious.  *(infectious in a good way.... not at all like the HIV)

It's a great idea. It's important to keep the excitement and buy-in up throughout the region.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

INteresting you think like that.  My guess is that there are far more season ticket holders in PV than from westside proper.

I think you're both right.  Lots of season ticket holders in PV, but also lots of people with ample disposable income who are only casual Jaguar fans.

INteresting that you're making assumptions for me.  I didn't assume that there were more or less season ticket holders in PV or CR210 than the westside proper, I just thought it was a solid idea to try and garner more support from fringe areas, and I did assume that there is disposable income in those areas, but didn't compare it to any other localized region as you did.

By the way, I live on the westside, and I'm a season ticket holder x4.  I still might drive out to Nocatee because I'm a fan and I like going to events when my schedule allows.  Anything snarky to add to that?

Not being snarky.  Just stating that PV is not a fringe area at all.

*Continuing from the Tebow thread*

Good job breaking the Jags expansion package down Ken. You and Taca are right, I didn't consider the overall revenue needed to compete with the other markets (which is why the stadium is so big). Nowadays it seems like the NFL has trended to smaller stadiums, and Everbank Field is currently way too big for the market. Even with tarps, that stadium is considerably larger than many in the league.

FSBA

You have to remember that during the expansion process, the NFL was still a live gate business. The NFL's tv deals weren't as big of a deal until FOX made an insane offer to take the NFC package from CBS.

With one move it put FOX on par with the other networks, damn near caused CBS to go bankrupt, and caused a mindset in all of the networks that they needed the NFL at all costs.

Since Jacksonville has been in the league the NFL has become a tv based business instead of a livegate one.

Unless Tebow is going to operate his own designated driver service, how?

Can't blame Tebow for this.

Maybe having Tebow would help the Jags.

Maybe not, but for those of us who read the article you posted, we can blame YOU for the 2 minutes of our lives that we'll never get back.  What a waste of space.

"Janky"???  Really?

^^^Exactly. BSC is still bent outta shape that Jacksonville didn't persistently pursue the chosen one the second go around after he chose NYJ the first time. The Shadow League, oh brother! I never even heard of that crap until now; it's definitely NOT bookmark worthy.

Please...Oh Please.  Can the Tebow trolling stay on the Tebow thread?
