I am interested in seeing the tight end they signed, Ryan Otten from San Jose State. He carried a mid-round grade by most services and could definitely get a roster spot.

I will be happy if Mark Scott can make the practice team.  Expecting anything else is probably a little unfair.  I think Pryor makes the team as an UDFA.

Dont counts the others out Megatron. Im actually going through player by player and some of these are beasts. There were be several to make the team. From what Ive seen some of these guys were big time playmakers in college. If that translate to the NFL, were in business. But to your point, Pryor will make the team. its ironic Greg Jones went to FSU and so did Pryor.
Eh, I would not call them beasts.  There are reasons that they are UDFAs.

I forgot your are a GM megatron, My bad. But regardless of what you say, some of those guys have skills. Just because you got overlooked in the draft doesnt mean you arent capiable of playing in the NFL. Tony Romo, Arian Foster, MOntell Owens and a host of others are an example of that. So I would reserve judgement. Non of are GM's, Scouts, or NFL experts. So to be honest none of know what the hell we are talking about.

TJ Barnes may actually be a beast. 6'7 370 pounds.

I know I freaked out when I seen that. He is HUGE and he ran a pretty fast time at the combine to be his size. Im also glad to see they bringing in some TE's. We have ZERO depth at tight end. It would be nice if we could get a TE to compliment Lewis.

Otten makes a lot of sense since he is a receiver-type TE, which is something we've needed for a while since Zach Miller never could stay healthy (and was never replaced).

I wanted us to bring in Philip Lutzenkirchen from Auburn, but that was partly because it's fun to say his name.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

Geez, sorry to get in the way of your over the top optimism.  Just saying that a more appropriate goal for any of these UDFAs is to make the practice squad.  I stand corrected all our UDFAs will make pro bowls.

Dont take offense Megatron, I wasnt being that serious. I was just saying you never know. Thats all. Just because someone didnt get drafted, doesnt mean they are no good. They just didnt get drafted. Its unfair to say that 22 of our 23 free agents will be on the practice squad. We dont know that.

I wish everyone would stop be parinod about concussion. Ever since all thes concussion law suits have surfaced and there has been so much talk about player saftey, everytime some one gets a concussion now fans get silly. Like with Cecil Short, he does not have an concussion "issue". He took an illegal hit to the head both times when he got concussions, and he is completely sypmtom free. I can see if he was just getting concussions randomly. Now fans are like " we need more receivers, Shorts has a cocussion issues and blackmon can stay out of trouble." Football players have been getting concussions for decades and its not a career ending thing for most of them.
STFU!

Now Laruent Robinson has concussion issues. He was getting concussions just by being tackled, and the other times he got one, we dont even know. And he still has headaches, cant sleep, etc. THAT is a concussion issue. I just wish fans would stop acting so damn silly about everything. Its the nature of the beast. IF you are football player, you may get a concussion.

Just read the dolphins stadium bill got rejected.  Had theirs got approved, I'd porbably be mad right now. However, what I found interesting is that the dolphins owner has been trashing the state because of the decision, and I think that is not a good move politically and is unprofessional also. But from what Im reading, that was the only way they were going to have renovations done to attract another superbowl. Thats just crazy to me. The state just broke bread with the Marlins for their stadium, which was actually needed, but the Dolphins want to the state to approve a stadium bill thats not even need based.? This also shows they had no back up plan. I think mentioned earlier that the additional 2 million we were trying to get was just an option. Ours is going to get done regardless. Last I read, Mayor Brown said they are trying to have an agreement in place by June.

I haven't really delved into the details on this one, but from the little bit that I read, it seems pretty shady and that's why Ross is going after the representative in the media.

It's not that they disapproved it, it's because they didn't even allow the public to vote on it.  The representative who ended up shooting the bill down had previously agreed to pass it through, probably assuming that it wouldn't have even gotten past the first stage, but once he realized that it would more than likely pass, he shot it down before the public could have final say.

That representative was from Tampa.  So now there's the impression that his local backers convinced him to shoot down the Miami bill which would help Tampa gain more SBs due to a lack of competition in Florida.

Politics.

Jacksonville fans ask Obama to get the Jaguars to sign Tebow

The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Friday that 165,000 new jobs had been added to the American economy in the last month. But it would have been 165,001 if Tim Tebow had been able to find work.

Some fans in Jacksonville want President Obama to do something about that.

A petition on the White House website asks the president to “Call NFL Jacksonville Jaguars GM David Caldwell and tell him to stop ignoring the Jaguars fans and sign Tim Tebow!”

“If the Jaguars sign & START Tebow,” the petition continues, “home games will be sold out, sales will spike, the team will win and the fans will be happy.”

The organizers are hoping 100,000 Americans will sign the petition, and that the president will put the full weight of the White House behind the fans in Jacksonville who want to see Tebow play in the area where he grew up, and where he became a Heisman Trophy winner and national champion for the Gators. As of Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, 315 people had signed the petition.

Caldwell has indicated that he’s dead-set against adding Tebow, and even a presidential directive will probably not be enough to sway him. It seems that the position of “Tim Tebow, backup quarterback” may turn out to be an American job lost to Canada.

People have seriously got to find better ways to spend their time.  Seriously?  Like there aren't more pressing issues to deal with in Washington than forcing a company to hire someone.    Give it a rest people.
