A little while ago there was a black helicopter with what appeared to be a Nike swoosh on the side circling downtown and the southbank.  It circled its way over to everbank then landed somewhere to the west of the stadium.  Not sure what's going on over there but I thought that was worthy of a note.

It took the winners of the Jaguars scavenger hunt from southbank to the practice field for the prizes. The prize is authentic Jersey, Helmet, glove, pant and shoe.

I'll be disappointed if the Jags draft a OT.

I don't mind drafting OL, just not with that 1st round pick.

If they do that means this regime doesn't believe in Monroe.

I think we have other greater needs.

From what I read, they know it will be hard to justify drafting a tackle. They said that the person would be right tackle if they did because they would have to justify making that call because left tackle is not a "need". But they stated their theory is someone who is the best player avialable, and fills a need. I personally dont believe the tackle talk. I believe it will be a defensive player, or surprise everyone and pick Geno. I dont buy the tackle talk.

Luke Joeckel is who I would have taken... This is exciting for the Jags to get the next #71...

Does anyone notice a HUGE difference this offseason, than last year. Last year was riddle with issues; MJD hold out, Pot Roast club incident, Blackmon DUI. Then the Tebow trade and the punter in the 3rd round. It was riddled with Chaos, distractions, and constant Jaguar jokes in the media that carried over into the season. For the first time in forever, there is a positive vibe over this franchise. I am very grateful for everything the curly haired, mustache man has done for this franchise and city.

Give it a few days...Luke hasn't had the same time to go out & celebrate like Justin did yet.  (kidding/agreed)

Dont worry too much about that. That money was going to be used to soften the blow, but the city and team wants to have a agreement in place by June for the scoreboards, which will be paid for by the money received in the stadium fund. The additional funds would have helped, but not getting them wont stop renovations from happening.

So  the draft must have been okay for everyone, please yall are QUIET!  ;D But I do have a question: What do yall think about  Matt Scott. When I first heard rumors about the Jags liking him and I went and checked him out on youtube:

Things I like:

He has energy, swagger, and confidence. watching him in the huddle at arizona hyping up the team is what I liked. He brings energy. Not to mention he posted on his twitter that hes coming to Jacksonville to take someone Job. I really think Gabbert and Henne better watch their back with this one. He is also very physical, doesnt mind running, and doesnt mind getting his head knocked off in the pocket. Hes also a pretty decent passer as well. Has a pretty nice touch pass, which is something Gabbert does not do very well, or at all.

Things Im concerned about:

He's was only a starter in college for one year. His mechanics needs work, but thats pretty much the same for most college QB's transitioning to the NFL. He seemed to have bad decision making skills, but upon further research I discovered Arizona offense did not go through progressions, they had a 1-read offense. So pretty much the ball was snapped and he was firing it off to someone. and To his credit,  Arizons receivers were God awful. They were slow, couldnt get seperation, and dropped the ball quite often.

Yeah, remember they said they were looking at several options. So that was not the only option  ;)

I will be happy if Mark Scott can make the practice team.  Expecting anything else is probably a little unfair.  I think Pryor makes the team as an UDFA.
