I think all of the Jags bashing would be much easier to handle if we had a Lombardi trophy to wave around in everyone's face.   IMO, that is the only way to kill the stigma.

I think DD08 needs to put on a seminar to teach the rest of Jags Nation how to not care.  Hell, he's even quoting Mularkey now.   :D

Seriously, the easiest way to not get offended is to learn more about the team.  then you'll really start to realize how mis-informed and lazy the media can be.  It's a lot easier to ignore it when you know they're wrong.

If you're getting your feathers ruffled, you probably need to do some more research.

For example, now they claim gabbert had the worse season EVER in NFL HISTORY for a rookie QB. Lack of research? I think so. Ryan Leaf, Eli Manning, Alex Smith and a slew of others had worse seasons than Gabbert did. But as you stated lack of research. I bet if you fronted these writers face to face, and asked them for evidence to back up their claims, they would be speechless.

Local media, especially TU Gene Frenette and Vito, are great. I could not give a crap about national media nor their coverage. They will always cover the original NFL teams, then AFL, then the new teams in that order. So we are screwed nationally no matter what we do!

^Where do the AAFC teams rank? Between NFL and AFL?
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

You think they are great?? I think vito is kool. Hes very level headed and factual. I read h is articles before anything. Gene on the other hand, is just as bad as the national media. He takes a positive article about the Jags, and somehow takes jabs at the team by lacing it with negative statements. Not to sure about them being great.

I disagree, his Jaguars Special in the Sunday paper was excellent and I sent him a note stating just that, as the information was crisp and had a great article on Gabbert. Gene is more frequent than Vito, so you may get more stuff that lights your fire during the week, but Gene has his pulse on the team.

The same Eugene that blasted UF for not allowing media into their practices:

UF football should try more communication, less secrecy

Gene Frenette's Blog

The dangerous world of Twitter and Florida coach Will Muschamp treating Gator practices like they’re a form of national security led to a lot of media speculation and wild-goose chasing Tuesday.

When only the day before, from the Florida Blue Practice fields:

QuoteEugene Frenette ‏@GeneFrenette
Britton's issue could be back, favoring left side, could be cramps, spasm. He made a warrior-like yell as he left field. Let u know info

Britton goes down in practice, so Eugene did exactly the same thing that he just wrote and article about.  Why?  My guess is to get a response and to throw Jags nation in a panic - His BACK!!!! BRITTON?!?!

I guess he got his response because in 10 minutes he was already backtracking:

QuoteEugene Frenette ‏@GeneFrenette
Any speculation on Britton injury would be just that. Mularkey talking to media in 10 minutes or so. Terrible 4 Britton if it's significant

Does this make him a hypocrite?  Yeah, pretty much, but whatever sells papers, right.

So MTrain, he might put together a nice Sunday piece, but time and again he's saying one thing and doing another.

It was originally reported as a hamstring by someone at practice, maybe Oesher. But it is an ankle and it does not sound serious.

^^^Thank you Copper, I knew that I heard it from somewhere, at first I thought that I was going crazy. LOL

I was roaming around on the EA website for Madden 13 and came across this:

http://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/media

We read about it in the paper here, but stop to think for just a second how the $2M locker room is already paying for itself.  Getting the brand out can be a huge event - Playing in London, or it can be subtle just by having your team on a webpage
