This should be interesting. As quiet as its kept, we have alot of fans over seas, especially in the london and sctoland vicinity. The are going to lose it when they find out the news.

Jags vs. Steelers in Ireland would be epic! Although I'm positive the exchange with my wife would be the direct opposite of NRW's.

Me: "Babe, so the guys & I are looking into tickets for the Jags game in Ireland.
Wife: "Oh isn't that the country full of Gerard Butler ala P.S. I Love You"
Me: ummm
Wife: "furiously types on laptop....Tickets Purcahsed!"

Either way.... Winning!   :D

And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Why does this have to be a home game for both teams?  Why can't it be an away game?

because Kahn has offered up a home game in each of the next four seasons

Sure.  Because even though you're probably married to some really hot girl...  Who's probably not just out of your league, but playing a different sport altogether...   ;D  She'll probably tire of Gerard's eurotrash accent, movie star lifestyle, quircky mannerisms and ripped body in a matter of mere hours and come crawling back to.....

Nah, just do it my way.  It's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask permission anyhow.

Wow they are in panic mode on the Jaguar message board about games in London. I see it as a good thing.

Great move by Khan.

Sometimes people forget that football isn't just a sport.

The NFL is a BRAND...a brand that represents a really, really big corporation with billions in assets and revenue. It makes sense to "spread the love" anywhere people are willing to pay. No matter what US residents think of the Jags (I'm aware they are the least popular team), showing our colors and representing our city in London is a fantastic thing for our brands: both Jacksonville as a city and the Jaguars as a part of the NFL.

People need to lighten up. One home game a year. Not the end of the world.

wonder if they will charge the same amount for season tickets with one less game?

Better question:  If we fly to London will we have tickets waiting at willcall?

Fans cant seem to see the big picture. This is good for team and the city. We have never utilized having an NFL like we should. Jacksonville has always wanted exsposure and well.. here it is. Im excited. As usual the fans will calm down. They went crazy over the possiable tebow trade, then shut up a month later.

How many games will there be in Jacksonville on year 5?

We could have 2 home fields on year five, or only one...

We are only locked in for four years. So year five everything is back to normal.

It would be awesome if during the London games, they would open up Everbank and allow the local fans in to tailgate and watch the game inside of the stadium. Even better when you think about the fact that our jumbotrons will be updated next season. That way the stadium vendors aren't missing out on money because we are losing one home game. I think that would slightly appease some of the people that are complaining about us losing a game. But I agree, it's a good thing for the Jaguars as far as expanding the brand and a GREAT thing for the city of Jacksonville. Hopefully the city's leaders go above and beyond to take advantage of this. It almost seems as though Khan is hitting more homeruns for Jax than the Mayor is.. Upgrades to the stadium, donating money to the military vets, the internation Jags games and HOPEFULLY helping with getting the Laura Street Trio project off the ground.
