Fortunately you didn't break a scrotum or something.  :D Best wishes for a speedy recovery. We have lots more to talk about on Baldwin rail history.

Quote"Brother, Can You Spare a Dime," lyrics by Yip Harburg, music by Jay Gorney (1931)

They used to tell me I was building a dream, and so I followed the mob,
When there was earth to plow, or guns to bear, I was always there right on the job.
They used to tell me I was building a dream, with peace and glory ahead,
Why should I be standing in line, just waiting for bread?

Once I built a railroad, I made it run, made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad; now it's done. Brother, can you spare a dime?
Once I built a tower, up to the sun, brick, and rivet, and lime;
Once I built a tower, now it's done. Brother, can you spare a dime?

Right on David! Lot's to talk about and even study, but perhaps tour the area, maybe drag a couple of JTA or FDOT types with us. Trust me, if I could have the power to restore just a handful of classic old railroads or railroad facilities in our state, Baldwin, would play a huge roll.

1. Baldwin Transit micro-rail passenger facilty, at the rail/rail crossing, South of US90
2. Station construction at Yukon/NAS JAX, Atlantic in San Marco, Busch, St. Augustine (restoration).
3. Track restoration, Orlando - Tavares; reconstruction Tavares - Wildwood.
4. Track restoration, Starke - Alachua - Gainesville; reconstruction Gaineville - Ocala; Gainesville - Archer - Brooksville - Tampa
5. Track reconstruction, Ocala - Leesburg - Tavares; track restoration Tavares - Plymouth - Apopka - Orlando
6. Track reconstruction, Coleman Jct (Wildwood) - Auburndale
7. Track restoration, Tampa - Bartow, track reconstruction Bartow - West Lake Wales
8. Track restoration, Hogans Creek - Springfield Yard - Kingsland, GA.; Track reconstruction - Kingsland GA - Savannah
9. Track reconstruction, Springfield Yard - Shand's - Durkeeville - Jacksonville Terminal; plus 9 track/platforms all with double ended; Complete restoration of Jacksonville Terminal and all facilities.
10. Track restoration, Tampa - Sarasota - Venice; Track Restoration, Lakeland - Fort Myers - Naples
11. New Track and Grade Construction, From Milton/Pace - West Northwest to Hurricane, AL
12. Reconstruction, Jacksonville - Jacksonville Beach/Atlantic/Neptune

How's that for a few hundred Million? A nice little bakers dozen that would assure that not only Jacksonville would stay at the top of the class, but it would relieve things such as the Lakeland CSX bottleneck, Winter Haven's traffic scare, Amtraks wandering piecemeal routes would convert to nice straight routes.

Quote"We're in the Money," lyrics by Al Dubin, music by Harry Warren (from the film Gold Diggers of 1933, 1933)

We're in the money, we're in the money;
We've got a lot of what it takes to get along!
We're in the money, that sky is sunny,
Old Man Depression you are through, you done us wrong.
We never see a headline about breadlines today.
And when we see the landlord we can look that guy right in the eye
We're in the money, come on, my honey,
Let's lend it, spend it, send it rolling along!

Oh, yes we're in the money, you bet we're in the money,
We've got a lot of what it takes to get along!
Let's go we're in the money, Look up the skies are sunny,
Old Man Depression you are through, you done us wrong.
We never see a headline about breadlines today.
And when we see the landlord we can look that guy right in the eye
We're in the money, come on, my honey,
Let's lend it, spend it, send it rolling along!
