Hey to all my friends, just to let everyone know, I had a good old Nam relapse? last night. I beat the shit out of that slick tile. It wasn't pretty. I woke up in the bathroom floor, God only knows which way my feet went, but I was airborne for a moment or two. Think I have busted my tailbone and maybe my hip too. The VA wants me to come in tomorrow to see what designer drugs they'll put me on. They said according to what the ambulance and St. Johns County rescue squad said, they should have admitted me. I was completely out and don't remember a thing about it, guess I landed hard! My girls said I wouldn't let them take me, not even the sheriff could convince me. Well whatever, I AM FEELING IT NOW! DAMN! I'LL try and keep you all posted on what they want to do.

Your thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

The tile probably said something bad about rails, and you tried to teach it a lesson!  ;)

Thank you for honoring your country by serving in the military Ock. I should have known you had served.

My dad was a Marine who did two tours of Nam. He had the dream too, but never spoke a word to me about what happened or what he witnessed over there. He was smart, good natured and passionate, as are you.

Ock, you're definitely in my thoughts and prayers.  And I'll pass it on to everyone I know who doesn't read this site but knows from me about all my favorite "celebrities" of MetroJacksonville.

Thanks for all the kind words y'all, I spent the morning at a VA Specialty clinic, tomorrow at yet another one, and next week, just thus far another 4-5 appointments.

Always wondered what they did if you literally busted your ass bones... Visions of having to sit in a bucket of concrete. Turns out all they do is laugh and say, "Well swabie, looks like you busted your ass!"

Also this comment for our friend Faye, Since this is ALL the VA has done so far, I'm sure glad it was "Free Healthcare."

Generally the same thing they do for civilians that have similar injuries. Not much of a splint they could put on there anyway.  Of concern would be how you got that way  in the first place.
