Just read an article on Yahoo that any Jags fan might be interested in reading. I know this is going to spark some crazy debate....

how has drafting florida gators in the first round gone the last couple years for the jags?  Tebow is not an nfl caliber qb and people will find other excuses to not buy tickets.

^ Sure, and the spread will never work in the SEC.

I'm a huge gator fan but I'm not so sure i want the Jags to go that route. Yes if he can be had on the second day of the draft, but that's not a certainty.

Tebow is a high character guy and a quality football player, but he's not a first or second round worthy NFL QB.

ProjectMaximus

This could be a terrible thing for the Jags...the decision might forever alienate either the Tebow-haters or the Tebow faithful. So that the fan base is not divided, I hope Tebow is taken first in the draft and that we have no chance of getting him. ;)

He would waist his talents here in Jax sadly to say.

We have no o-line to protect him. Plus he likes to run...we have our little bowling ball for that so we wouldnt need a running qb.

I think Jax is where QBs go to die anyway lol.
ALTHOUGH the rev. that he would bring into Jax couldnt hurt.

You can go here to really show your Tebow to the Jags love. The guy who created this site was on local sports radio station 1010XL plugging this today.

I'll leave the evaluation up to Gene Smith, but Tebow = revenue for sure.  I would like to see him play here.  I think the Jags could use an infusion of "hustle".  But either way, I'll renew my season tix.

I love the Gators but #15 is not a "pro style" QB.  It's very questionable if he would make the Jaguars or any NFL team better.  He would definitely sell tickets if drafted by the Jags, but how many?  The 15,000 needed to sell out the stadium?  Football fans in Jax are accustomed to watching him on TV.

^ this is just the beginning.  Wait until the season is over and we get closer to draft day.

Tebow is by all accounts a great guy and a tremendous college quarterback/fullback. That doesn't translate that well into an NFL offense. Time will tell.

I don't think drafting Tebow or any other high profile college player will change anything.  Jacksonville needs to get it together and start supporting this team or one morning all of us will wake up and headlines will read "Jaguars move to Los Angeles."

And it will be without explanation believe me.  (the Baltimore syndrome)

His cute plays he has does the past 2 years will get his ass injured in the pros. Most NFL teams are not willing to risk money and such for a QB that is likely to run for TDs a lot, as it is too much of a liability.
