Eyeglass repair?

Hello all, I am looking to get a  my eye glasses fixed. But I do not know where to go in this "city." I began my travels today to Pearle Vision on Roosevelt. The clerk was of course pretentious in her snotty creative little way and told me that to get two lenses replaced would cost $209 with insurance. I told her yeah whatever lady and I walked out of there.

I bought these frames and lenses online for the whopping total of $30. It happened on a cloudy, hungover, morning at University. The night before I had been running away from a huge drunken crewboy. I had broken something in the hallway comparable to a mirror and he wanted to find out who I was and get his revenge. So I ran into my room and changed my appearance, and I then I walked out nonchalant to drink some more. The crewboy failed to recognize me because of my broken eyeglasses. These glasses are sentimental to me. The next morning I woke up and knocked them off my nightstand. Crack, they broke and a part of me died that day.

If I am going to be spending a ludicrous amount of money, I'd rather go mom and pop. Problem is, Google isn't churning out the mom and pop eyeglass stores in Jacksonville. So where do you metrojacksonvillians go for quality vision care, where people are NOT goady capitalist morons and actually care about thyself, the consumer.

I go to United Optical Outlet.
They have a few locations and the service is excellent!

Hope this helps!

I agree with Tashi. I got an eye exam and glasses for $105 dollars there without any insurance.

Wow thanks. I will definitely check them out today. I think we should put them on Google and give them good reviews. In the future when people like me are looking for places to get their glasses repaired they will know where to go.

How to get them on Google, just Google, "How to add a business to google and google maps." And then give them  a good 5 star review. Then link it here. I will do this in an hour if and only if no one has done so already.

I don't know of any mom and pop shops around here but I've gotten glasses from this place. Dirt cheap and have lasted me a while. http://zennioptical.com/

I also found this site a while ago when looking to get some new lenses for frames I had. http://www.selectspecs.com/

I went to United Optical today. Very nice people and my glasses are being repaired yay! (But he gave me a seven day max, and next week I will be in New York boo).  However, their website is horrible as horrible gets! The Blanding location does not exist anymore. I ended up in some creepy eye doctor place, which I quickly left.
