Damn 9 kids and the 7th one dies first. The most popular one at that. People teased the hell out of the dude. I guess people got what they wanted.

I'm kinda sad to hear about Ed and Michael...and Farrah. May they all rest in peace.

I think alot of people forgot how brilliant his music was. I was listening to Billie Jean, Dirty Diana and Smooth Criminal this morning. Damn he was good.

RIP

Anyone ever hear of the Urban Legend that celebrities always die in three's? If one celebrity dies, then shortly after 2 more will also...Ed, Farrah and Michael..hmmm seems to be true in this case. While I thought he was a little weird there at the end, I still remember the first time I saw Thriller on MTV. It was groundbreaking for its time.
Who can forget that beautiful Farrah poster in the bathing suit? Every kid in America had one of those. And even some older kids (me included)
And no matter how old you get, you will always remember the words "Heres Johnny!"

Rest in peace Ed, Farrah and Michael.

I listened to Thriller last night while watching the news and that is truly a great album. There is not one song on there that doesn't carry its own. Although there was a lot to detract from him as a person, as an entertainer, it would be hard to find one better.

I am shocked that Elizabeth Taylor outlived Michael Jackson.

Does anyone remember when Micheal Jackson came to Jacksonville on the Thriller Tour (1984, i think) and played at the old Gator Bowl? I was only a small tot then, but I do remember the City adding the concrete upper deck to the stadium before the concert. Jacksonville beat out Orlando and Tampa for that concert, they later added a Miami date.

:( I never danced to anything like I dance to Billie Jean.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Yes, I was there.  Wasn't a fan of his but had to keep the girlfriend at the time happy. I do remember at the end there was a big fireworks display.  As everyone watched Michael and family made their getaway.

That was "The Victory Tour" and it actually kicked off in "Jackson"-ville.  My grandmother from Belgium was there!

Well, anyone who liked his music should turn to MTV.  They are playing just about every song he made.

It only took the king of pop's death to get MTV to actually play music videos.

If the rule of three is true... somewhere in the world Patrick Swaze just breathed a big sigh of relief.

How about the "rule of reading the whole thread"!   ???

StephenC mentioned it yesterday at 6:40 PM:

It's the rule of 3.

By the way, the NY Times highlights 3 obits of famous and/or notable people everyday on their site.  Who decides which 3 people qualify for the rule of 3?
Hey!  Whatever happened to just plain ol' COMMON SENSE!!
