QuoteWe've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing, after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

CNN and Fox are just saying he is hospitalized.  Plenty of speculation that he died tho...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

They now just said he was in a coma...

Yeah, shit happens when they rush you into the Neo-Natal ICU? Or was it OB-GYN? Sorry folks, my bad, as far as I'm concerned the little kid on stage helped end the era of some pretty cool music. Buffalo Springfield, Jefferson Airplane, Jannis Joplin, Bread, Doors, he was NOT!

Hey does this mean he gets 70 virgins? How is THAT going to work?

LA Times now says he's dead.

A lot of major celebrities have passed this week.

I am convinced many of our celebrities die "young" because of substance abuse during some part of their history and/or very stressful lives.  Also, many remain famous because they live abnormal and/or outlandish lives that feed their craving for attention or a need for career publicity, but which come at the expense of keeping one's groundedness and sanity.

Fame is not all it's cracked up to be and very few can handle it well. Adoration by the public is both a blessing of fortunes to be made and a curse of never having a moment of real privacy.  Sad but true.
Hey!  Whatever happened to just plain ol' COMMON SENSE!!

It's sad. Growing up, MJ was pretty much the biggest deal ever. I still don't know what to think of the child abuse stuff. I'm sure it's probably true but deep down I want to believe that he just had severe issues and led a very eccentric life that would be hard to explain to people on the outside. He was the ultimate example of money not being able to buy you happiness, I don't think there was a single point in his life that he wasn't surrounded by people who wanted to use him, no matter how many cars you have or how big your house is that has to be a miserable experience. Maybe once the press dies down his kids will be able to lead a somewhat normal life.

Well, anyone who liked his music should turn to MTV.  They are playing just about every song he made.

oh well, life goes on.

However, it brings to mind the myth of celebs dying in 3s. Ed, Farrah, now MJ, jsut a thought.

MJ was the most famous man on the planet, the best entertainer since the Beatles. Never be another one.
