Really?   I heard the park was going to be a Wal-Mart.

BridgeTroll

Not just any wal mart... a historic wal mart...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I've seen a Wal-Mart in Naples, FL that actaully looks very nice....

I can see an historic wal-mart in Russia from my porch   :-\

you might be right in fact I heard they are going to be the first bio-fuel powered alternative living facility in town by harnessing all that methane gas.  Methane, its the future ya know http://alternative-fuel-news.blogspot.com/2008/08/methane-as-future-fuel-of-21st-century.html

then they plan on selling the excess power at low cost to new SPR residents who sign up for a pre-paid SPAR membership that will include a methane gas powered golf cart.

No, it isn't in the building. It is hosted by GoDaddy.

But the flip side of the coin is that those concerned could have picked up the phone to find out what was happening prior to jumping into the "SPAR's conspiring to keep us in the dark" nonsense...

No such conspiracy theory was stated until the fun ones that came up after your statement. Or were you just hoping to beat them to the punch?

It would seem that either zoo in misinformed by SPAR or SPAR is just misinformed about themselves.

If springfield had a trolley, the website wouldn't be down right now.

you think a faux trolly would do? On the other hand, we no longer need the forum in Springfield. With all the demolitions we got line of sight between all the remaining buildings and can just use signals.

Best post yet!!!

QuoteI think the website is down because SPAR sold the SPAR building including the server to BMLR for more low end housing. This was after they discovered that the zoning ordinance actually doesn't require 300sqft, but 3.00 sqft per resident (yet another scriveners error). The SPAR building will be a new polonium-certified LEED building as it will be entirely powered by the body heat and excrement of the 5,000 people living in it as a new example of high density zero-commute living.

After an initial review and an Letter of Opinion from someone who may or may not matter, some suburban design elements may be added. For example the building may be put on wheels to make it more efficient and mass transit compliant.

LMAO - love this...

QuoteIm sure Zoo would prefer to use trained anti homeless bald eagles instead.

Actually, if we had to start using "messengers," to deliver information, it would make perfect sense, from an operational efficiency standpoint, to utilize any found wandering around the neighborhood already. A messenger could ask for their fix, negotiate to camp in someone's doorway with their "lady friend," and offer the latest news from SPAR at the same time...
