In 2007, Tebow became the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. In the Gators' 24-14 win over Oklahoma on Thursday night, Tebow completed 18 of 30 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 109 yards.

If he does come back Urban Meyer owes it to Tebow to play a pro set.  I hope Tebow asked for and got that concession...

He needs a pro set, otherwise any shot he has as an NFL QB is severely diminished.

It's Urban's responsibility to coach in the best interest of the team...not one player.

I wouldn't want to see too much change with this year's offense except to maximize the explosiveness of the skill players. Working some formations with Tebow under center may or may not do this.

But I do agree with the gist of what you both said, which would be that Tebow needs experience in a pro-style offense to prove he can play at the next level. However, a pro set could still just be another way to employ the triple option.

Oh I agree Max... All I am saying is now that Tebow has committed to another year Meyer should commit to helping Tebow rise within the draft.  This does not just help Tebow but also Meyer and the University in future recruiting.

Meyer might have two national championships but he definitely does not have a rep for putting out good NFL talent. What former Urban player made the biggest NFL impact?

nice find tufsu1...haha. If i have to see or hear one more Gator story I might vomit. I felt like I couldn't even watch any local news broadcast on Friday. While I am happy for them, the local media drives me nuts on this.

Oh Joy, another year of listening to the over hyping of the most over rated QB in College football.  Good grief guys, give me a break.. hes an aveage QB and an average running back, nothing special.  He will get killed in the NFL, maybe thats why hes staying, he knows he wouldnt even be a 3rd stringer on any team in the NFL right now.

I'm sorry but the kid seems to be a good guy, and a very impressive college QB. Just because he isn't pro material doesn't mean that he shouldn't be praised for his accomplishments.  I agree that the commentators go over board but thats the nature of TV and radio these days.

His education and degree is what he's owed for playing another year. I wouldn't expect a big change in Gator offense.
