37.) Is SPAR having financial difficulties because it is overburdened by the crime fund?  Or does the crime fund come from other money earmarked specifically for its use?

I can answer that one. The Crime Fund was set up to go through SPAR and remain totally separate from other money. So yes, the funds come from other money earmarked specifically for its use.

Kind of like the Skateplaza funds...totally separate and earmarked...I think we have about $300 in that pot, so anyone who wants to pitch in let me know  ;)

When I was on the Board the Exec Comm determined that SPAR needed X amount per month to operate (I can't remember the amount). It was actually pretty efficient at that time. Losing the COJ grant meant that other revenue had to be found and to date it has been difficult to do. Or at least on a regular basis.
