Julian just nailed it. The first building is a Courtyard By Marriott, while the second is a new Holiday Inn. The site is located on Wells Road, just east of the CSX railroad crossing.

You'd be surprised at how much hotel space is at a premium in this city, in spite of the apparent glut of hotels and their chains. Sleeper hits like the upcoming FSU-Alabama game (or whatever the heck it is on 9/29), the Gator Bowl, the Fla-Ga game, etc, gobble up hotel availability like no other. I'm hosting a dance workshop that same weekend, and it was murder trying to find hotel accommodations for the 'mere' 200 attendees.

Based on my admittedly limited exposure to the subject, I say hear hear! We can use all we can get!

It's a new TOD being built for the BRT system in Jacksonville! What they DIDN'T SAY was that 99.44/100th % of it is offices for JTA right?

If it is a hotel, thank goodness. I recently planned a week long stay for my parents and finding a nice but reasonable hotel is almost impossible in this town. 6 weeks out, either everything was booked, bad area of town, or way over priced. The most amazing thing is that nothing is going on in town that week.
