No, not typically without care requests and phone calls.

I clean my block on a daily basis, always picking up someone elses garbage. I am thankful for what the Citi folks came out and did. The COJ only responds when you call and complain about their overgrown lots, they will not sell!

Not to long ago, they actually transfered ownership of several to Operation Newhope, and several others to the City Housing Dept.

Quotewell, thats good to hear.

Are you sure about that? Operation New Hope is run by K. Gay, and you can see what kind of job he does taking care of his commercial lots in the pics on pg 1 of this thread...

This is fantastic.  Being a beaches lifer, I really admire the sense of community that has been created in Springfield.  It warms my heart to see things like this.

Well, Kevin Gay is only one person of many with Operation New Hope.  What happens on his private property doesn't have to be the same as what happens on Operation New Hope property.  Different wallets, I'm sure.  Besides, the empty lots owned by SRG and Mack are not kept up as nicely as they once were, going lot's longer between mowings and trash clean-up themselves.   Couldn't have anything to do with the economy, could it?
