Quote from: heights unknown on April 16, 2026, 08:48:21 PMIn regards to Gateway/Pearl Street, It appears that N6, N7, and N8 will all be rising at the same time, with CRANES in the air for each. N6 will be the shortest and will top out first, followed by N7, and then N8. Man, all of this activity is making me dizzy and giving me a headache; where's the smelling sauce? Still not tall enough though; that's coming and will be revealed very soon right on the riverfront; think I'm joking? Watch! And no, I don't have proof; just got that feeling. I smell "tall and slender" in the air, rivaling Independent Square building, and standing tall with #1 (BOA) and of course #2 Independent Square. It's a little way off, but not too far away. Just stand by and have the faith.

I believe you're confusing Block N6 with one of the other projects. N6 is the parking garage between Julia and Hogan Street and will not need a crane as they are simply adding a strip of retail along Beaver Street
My Bad; you're correct (I think); I'll look into it.

You were right Zac; N6 is the Parking Garage. So I believe, and y'all correct me, N9, N8 and N7 will possibly have cranes (though N9 will be short in height so a crane may not be needed). At any rate, in the future, there will be cranes possibly all around that area as they vacuum suck more properties and they are developed. I could be wrong and this is a hunch, but I believe that Bryan Moll/Gateway will at some point in the future buy out City Place Apartments (formerly St. Johns Apartments...to me it just doesn't fit in the way it now is, and, when I was young, I had friends that lived there and the apartments were "Munchkin small"), probably tear it down OR give it a major renovation. If they tear it down, look for a signature skyscraper (high-rise or tall) in its place (we can dream can't we?).

Looks nice. Looks like the two towers they mentioned will be about ten stories(ish). I wonder what is going on with the Corner Lot rehab? There has never been movement on this.

Don't know maybe the project fell through and with riverside as well didn't see any rendering for their headquarters for that hotel and maybe why they are moving on to bay street. Found out also that live oak development in downtown fort pierce had defaulted after missing a critical milestone and had faced years of delays since it's inception in 2019 something to watch out for.

Aren't they running/directing development of the old JEA Headquarters on Church Street? THAT is bad news about Fort Pierce and the City/DIA really need to keep tabs on that development (Old JEA Building). There is NO activity at that site and hasn't been for some years now; I think 2023 (early) is when I last seen workers doing something, anything in and around that building (Old JEA). I know Gateway has its hands full, but I wish they would take that over (old JEA) once they get the Pearl District fully humming and running.

Which "Old JEA Building"? The one that used to be Independent Life, at Duval and Julia, or the one that used to be the Universal Marion Building, at Church and Main?

heights unknown

No, the old JEA Building that was originally and historically the "Independent Life" Building. The 19 story one adjacent to the old Ambassador Hotel Building.
