Started playing the NYT game "Pips" where you arrange dominoes to meet targets, it has three difficulty levels
Easy - 1 min 51 seconds

My first time trying it.

Here are my results:
Easy - 0:53
Medium - 0:49 (getting the hang of it)
Hard - 7:30 (learned there were multiple possibilities - have to solve them in the right order)

Charles, thanks.  I think the puzzles cater to differing approaches... verbal, spatial, visual, intuition, association, etc.  Most of us will do better at some than others although, once in awhile, we can be fortunate to ace any one puzzle. Experience with some puzzles' "personality" also helps over time, especially Connections.  Another, is how much time and effort we put into solving.  I was doing Letter Boxed but decided I didn't want to make that time and effort regularly so backed off of it.  Main thing is for each of us to have fun challenging ourselves  .
