Hello Jaxsons!

Think you know our city like the back of your hand? Well let's put your knowledge to the test! In this thread, you can post photos from around town and commenters have to guess the location of where the photographer took the photo. Please be as specific as possible in your answer and try to avoid answering with a generality like "downtown" "the beaches" etc.  Should be fun, and I bet we will get some interesting photo perspectives. My only suggestion, let's please try to solve one photo at a time. I will kick things off with what I think should be an easy one - Where did I take this photo?

#1
Truist tower roof?
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Joey Mackey

Correct! Technically, the 17th Floor of the Truist Tower. Someone else can post a photo or I will post one in a few days.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Charles Hunter

Originally the Atlantic Bank tower.

Yes.

I am old.

Hmmm ... I don't see a picture. But when I use the "quote" feature, I see the IMG tags.

Thanks Charles! I removed the previous post and think I got it now. Let me know if you can see this

Roof of Edward Ball?  Could be a couple others too

I'm thinking midway up the Truist (ne First Union) building on Hogan, between Bay and Forsyth.

Great picture with the churches in the fore and mid ground and the Dames Point Bridge (I can see my house (not really)) in the back, all under a full moon

Zac T

Both great guesses and I wish I knew how to get to the roof of the Ed Ball Building as that'd be a great perspective of the city. Neither are correct though

Ah, got it. From 11 East. I was thinking the church in the foreground was Snyder, when it is 1st Presbytarian.
