Solid addition to the neighborhood. Excited to see this building come back to life and the Main Street resurgence continue

QuoteJohn Moore, owner of Forgotten Tonic in St. Augustine, informed the Business Journal that he's signed a letter of intent to lease the property at 1100 N. Main St. at the northwest corner of Main and 1st streets in Springfield.

The 12,377-square-foot property is an historic warehouse that was originally home to Downtown Chevrolet Co. The site features a barreled, exposed ceiling surrounded by windows to allow in abundant natural light.

The intent is to eventually build out a Cajun-Creole restaurant with perhaps other activations like a dedicated bar area similar to the space at Forgotten Tonic.

The French theme may also translate to breakfast and bread with an attached bakery, according to general manager Mike Whitmoyer.

Good anchor building and tenant as people cross into Springfield.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Well, I don't believe that particular concept/restaurateur is going in there, but the space is being beautifully renovated, now with new windows installed.
