QuoteTrevato Development Group appears to be related to plans to transform the Downtown neighborhood, where investors continue to buy.

Quote"The project consists of redevelopment of 4 blocks and proposes 1,350 apartment units and approximately 40,000 square feet of commercial development," says the JEA application.

Not too much left on those blocks.  Not really surprising what's happening there.  That one house on Jackson behind Vista Brooklyn looks like an interesting holdout.

I'm interested in the status of that parcel on the river between the YMCA and Haskell.  Seems like with this market that site would be in play.

Read in another article that Related Group is currently searching for possible riverfront properties downtown to build condos after the success they had with Azure in Jax Beach. That site seems like it could be a candidate.

Seems more important than ever to get that Brooklyn Skyway station up and running.

I asked.

Still in their plans.

But no timetable.

Would legit use the Skyway three times a week if they'd open this station.

Any idea of what's the hold up? Implementation seems to be a real struggle.

"Covid delay."

Yet the clown cars...

Lol unless the plan is to dramatically scale up the size of their desired rolling stock, the U2C will be a Covid petri dish if the virus is here to stay with us.

JTA has issued an RFP for Skyway Vehicle Rehabilitation, and as part of that there's a map showing the location of the Brooklyn station as "Train Removal Location":

So my guess would be that it's been delayed for that. But if that's true then we're looking at like, two years to be able to actually build the station, unless they plan to build it during this time somehow.
So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win. - Ed Markey

I'm not sure if it's related but heavy electrical utility work has recently been done along Forest St and it's all stubbed in into the site of Block 5.  Might be a sign something is moving forward here.

Right, I agree with the comment above — maybe something for the Lennox on Park development project, because we all know JTA and COJ don't have a clue about effective public transportation or how to execute opportunities like creating a Skyway stop in BrooKlyn.

Projects like Lennox on Park were waiting for the park street road-diet project to wrap up. Now that it's finished, I'm sure those developers want to start back moving. We should see activity over there soon with all those new commercial (The Hub Brooklyn) and mixed used projects (One Riverside) going up on Riverside Ave. Whole Foods, all those new retail spaces, and the restored McCoys Creek will definitely continue driving demand up over there!

Yeah my bad, that's what I meant not block 5.

Columbia Ventures just finished Terminal Warehouse, so maybe they are moving on to this.
