Wake up every Monday morning and say to yourself, "At least the Jags didn't lose yesterday".
That's actually a pretty positive take considering it is Jax related. New Years resolution?

Lol - no, my New Year's resolutions are a little more realistic.

I guess Jags fans can start watching Khan's new Black News Channel.

^^^Usually prominent business people kinda stay in a similar lane with their business ventures. Shad Khan is all over the place with them; The Jags, Flex N Gate, Fulham FC, All Elite Wrestling, and now the Black News Channel (we definitely need more woke news, no shortage of that...) Either Khan is the ultimate Renaissance man (which I'm mostly leaning towards), or one (or a couple) of his ventures will not go as planned.

I think he is following the Richard Branson Virgin model.  Throw money at everything and hope something sticks.

Branson has started over 400 businesses under the Virgin umbrella but only a fraction of them are still around.  I watched an interview with him several years ago and he said he didn't even do business plans for a lot of his enterprises - he just threw money at it and if it was still around after 5 years then he would do a business plan and streamline it.

His logic was that if it only made money by being run at peak efficiency it would never produce the returns he was looking for.

Not sure I buy that. Jamie Dimon (along with Warren Buffet and Jeff Bezos) have partnered and invested in a healthcare startup. Other than the fact that healthcare and banking tend to deal with lots of money, I'm not sure I see these as similar. I have a lot of respect for Dimon, but I don't see him as a Renaissance Man.

I don't know anything about Apple (way out of my lane) and use an Android but I still have Apple stock.

Sounds like Shad is a pretty smart man. If you have the money, diversifying your pots of investments aren't a bad thing.

Sometimes you'll win, sometimes you'll lose but as long as the investments aren't totally foolish or at a risk level that can bankrupt you, you're more likely to gain in the long run.

At this point, can we assume that Todd Wash is back as DC next season?

Rumors of Jay Gruden as OC...  8)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Just saw this reported on Action News

Love it if it's truly a permanent OC position.

Not so hot on it if we start slow and it turns into an interim head coach turns multi-year head coach trial situation.

Calais Campbell named Walter Payton NFL Man of Year - Well deserved.

Tony Boselli still not in the Hall of Fame.
During the late First Coast News, sportscaster Mia O'Brien, after noting that many cite the 'reason' keeping Tony out was the limited number of games played, pointed out several guys in the HOF who played fewer games.  She then threw some shade at the person who has represented Tony in all the HOF presentations - Sam Kouvaris - suggesting maybe a new voice and approach might make a difference.

Former Jags QB Chad Henne is on the Chiefs roster..... gonna get a Super Bowl ring!

Was it a miss to get Fornette instead of Mahomes? Honest question.

Um, yes.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Um, yes.

I don't think it is so simple. Mahomes has some great talent at WR and a great blocking front. We don't have that at all. Would he have been good here? Fornette on the other hand has been a  solid addition to the terrible team we have been dealt.
