How bad do the Jags have to be before Khan stops bringing his boat to town?  Hard to justify giving tax dollars to someone cruising around in a $350,000,000 yatch while putting this product on the field.

Would Lenny Curry encouraging a quarter-billion dollars of taxpayer money to be invested into a team with this kind of performance be considered "malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude?"

If it is, we could recall him next year and hopefully get someone who would slam on the breaks and ask the "what the absolute hell is all this?" question we desperately need.
So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win. - Ed Markey

And he wants to sell JEA to pay for it all.

I would support a recall effort.  Jacksonville might not survive the Lenny Curry administration.

Here be the rules.

QuoteIn a municipality or district of 25,000 or more registered electors, the petition shall be signed by at least 1,000 electors or by 5 percent of the total number of registered electors of the municipality or district as of the preceding municipal election, whichever is greater.

Anyone know how many signatures this would have to be? The utter insanity surrounding both the JEA sale and the Lot J deal could arguably fall under malfeasance, misfeasance, or perhaps incompetence. Maybe depending on the legal duties of a mayor it could also be neglect of duty.

Also have to wait until his term is one-quarter done - July 1, 2020.

Somehow Khan and the rest of the Jags brass will still blame the fans not having a capacity crowd to support this woeful and inept football team. It is our (fans) fault!!!

31,007 currently registered voters. Not gonna happen.

It will be pretty fascinating to see how this miserable season affects the optics of the Lot J ask.

Sentiment toward the team ain't exactly where it was when the subsidy was first floated.

Some of this has to be coaching and schematics and not just deficient positional talent, right?

I mean, in the later Del Rio/Mularkey years, the Jaguars sent replacement level guys like Russell Allen and Kyle Bosworth and Chris Prosinski out to play linebacker and safety and didn't have teams waltzing up and down the field on them to the degree we saw yesterday.  And those teams didn't have much of a pass rush.

That and I don't think you ever saw them call a cover zero all-out blitz on 3rd and 10 on a quarterback who has 700 years' experience identifying blitzes and had a running back uncovered on the flank with blockers in front.

Considering I'm now nostalgic for the year of Mularkey, I'm not sure what is and isn't reality anymore.

that was an incredible 4th quarter, I was on the edge of my seat!

they really pulled that one out, I was thoroughly impressed with their final drive down the field.

We lose the Tank Bowl  :(
Just kidding, the win gives the fans a lil morale boost  :)

Glad they won. Can't stand Raider nation. Probably their last game played in Oakland.

And knowing this organization, even worse...probably extensions for everyone!
That's exactly what I was thinking at the end of the game.  Shad thinking, "what a great win.  Extentions for everyone".  Wish the Jags could have won without the bad call when Carr took a knee.  Bad facemask call in Pittsburgh too.  Bad calls should be reviewable.

While the refs did blow the Carr call, the Raiders self-destructed after that.  As in life, it is more important how you deal with setbacks, than the setback itself.

After the blown call the Raiders got a 5 yard penalty for illegal challenge thus ensuring they won't get a first down.  Then they called a timeout because they couldn't get a play in, then threw an incomplete pass, then missed not 1 but 2 field goals when they should have punted in the first place.  And if that wasn't bad enough, they totally forgot to cover people on the ensuing Jags drive.

Hell, even the Raiders hail mary pass at the end hit a Raider receiver right in the face mask.  Here comes the ball, better not put my hands up.  Doh!
