Corner Lot Properties has agreed in principal to purchase 1939 Hendricks Avenue. The company is presently marketing the site for a build to suit, land lease or joint venture for a redevelopment preliminarily named Three Lions- a nod to the iconic Three Lion statue at Balis Park in the heart of San Marco Square.

The best part of this story by far is the fact that, in 2019, the Jax Daily Record described this rather famous gay bath house as a "men's club". Again, this occurred in 2019 and not 1980.

Yeah, if you look at the pics on Yelp the building frankly doesn't look salvageable at this point.

Occasional Jaxson forum member Jimmy Midyette has suggested a plaque go up recognizing the significance of Club Jax. I agree. It was an institution in the gay community for over 40 years and was long a safe place where folks could go without fear of abuse and even violence.

I suppose if they're openly talking about remodeling the existing structure, they've inspected it to confirm it'll probably work?
