KC would be in cap hell but I can see them going all in for a chance to help them win this season.

I think Minshew will help with ticket sales next season.

Minshew Mania. Simply amazing how he has played as a sixth round rookie.

Are they covered indoor and air conditioned?

Also, I liked the shots of San Marco Square last night. Looked like a great place to spend the evening ......

Someone mentioned "Foles" earlier in this thread. Who is he? 8)

Team looked really competent last 2 weeks. Absolutely do not understand why we did not kick a filed goal (on 4th and goal) and TRY to go up 23-7. That would have ended the game.  Someone 'splain that to me.

Also the 3rd down defense WAS POOR. Titans converted WAY TOO MANY OF THOSE 3rd AND LONGS............

I assumed they were trying to give Leonard another shot in a lower risk situation. Unfortunately, it's looking like he's not going to be in the top 20 Rb's this season

Because 23-7 is still a two score game (with two point conversions) and because even if you don't get the TD there, Tenn has to go 97 yards for the first of the scores it needs.

I thought they ran a pass play? But yeah, it may have been the same situation as the 2-pt conversion last week, where Minshew made the call based on the defense.

In any case, like WP said the reasoning is that you can actually close out the game with a touchdown. Kinda like going for it on a 4th and 2 to run out the clock instead of punting. So there can be an argument made either way. But I would definitely have kicked in that situation and I think that's the more common choice.

Going for it was a dumb call.  Taking the easy FG puts you up 16 late in the game. That's two TDs and two successful 2 point conversions to tie. The chances of that happening that late in a NFL game are as good as a snowball surviving hell. Luckily, it didn't bite them in the ass.

I see what you're saying.  But I would wager no team in recent history has scored two TD plus two 2 point conversions back to back.

Scoring two Td's back to back with PAT's is much more probable, and if they had pulled that off (without us scoring) they win.

Kick the field. Coaches need to stop making stupid decision. Tennessee was stopped pretty for 4 quarters. You don't need to score. TD there

There's no doubt that making it 16 points is the high percentage play.

But reading between the lines, it would kick ass if we were able to put up another TD or get some dumb penalty on the defense that gave us an automatic first down.

Fact is that TN had to drive the length of the field with no timeouts against a defense that had punished Maryota for the last 58 minutes of game time.  Recover an onside kick, which isn't exactly a gimme with the new rules.  And score another TD for the win - again - with no timeouts and against a defense that wasn't giving them anything.

So either way, TN wasn't going to come back and he left his defense on the field to continue beating on a division rival.

Why not?

FYI, no team has ever come back from that margin with that time and distance remaining:
