Looks like that spirally thing is expected to get a lot of visitors in the future.

What, exactly, is it? I've always wondered what its purpose is. Well, I did wonder...then kind of forgot it existed.

It's purpose is exactly what's shown.  I'm sure it was closed off to stop hobos from crapping up there or some nonsense.

It originally held the pumps for Friendship Fountain - since the renovation a few years ago, I don't know it that is still true.  The spiral ramp and overlook were a bonus.

I wondered if that was the purpose. I seem to recall visiting it in high school and maybe even later.  But it has been many, many years.

It still holds the pumps, but the idea was a observation area

Nice. Curry needs to look at that River City lease. That's a buyout/demo just screaming to happen.

Maybe the City could pay to relocate River City to Lot "J" ...

Looking forward to taking the water taxi from the new MOSH over to the new aquarium at the former Landing site.

Maybe they can move PS No. 4 there, too. I hear they're looking for a location...

Not sure if you're joking or not, but I'd rather see that buyout over the landing all day.  The RCBC building and parking lot take up a huge part of what could be the park..  I'd like to see the boat ramp reworked to make access a bit easier.  It would be nice if there were a smaller walk up restaurant there with some transient docking along with an expanded park.  The fountain is a cool landmark but some other features for kids and whatnot would be nice in addition to the reworked MOSH building.

IF there is going to be an aquarium downtown, it should either be integrated into MOSH or located directly adjacent. The South Florida Science Museum in WPB is nothing special, but does have a small aquarium incorporated into it, so it can be done.

The Aqua Jax crew will never be able to raise funds for a world class facility, even moreso if an established museum like MOSH is in the middle of a big capital campaign. Their only chance of getting anything done is to somehow partner with MOSH, as the two would complement each other. If that's a no go, then call it a day.

Seriously. I guarantee you it wouldn't cost $18M to buy them out.

Peyton actually mentioned this during his "Big Ideas" plan, but his "execution" and communication was horrible. I bet if he just hired the right people he could have been a decent mayor. But he didn't.
