Then a few people display their own symbol of freedom and they are blacklisted and banned from football.

One.

There's one person supposedly 'blacklisted'.

So you have to ask - Does he even want to play anymore?

Kaep seems to be in the best position not playing. He doesn't get his brains beat in physically and Nike sends him fat checks while he enjoys life as a living martyr. Given the short life span of a NFL career, he's made an excellent career move. That's got to make the blood boil for those who hate what he stands for or disagrees with his position.

And I agree with this 100%.

Personally, I couldn't care less if he plays or not or if he knelt or not.  His actions resonated and seem to have done a lot of good with regards to the awareness of the issues and many current players are still carrying that mantle in the league.

The only issue I debate in this entire Kaepernick saga  is how so many people presume that he wants to play or should play or could play and just isn't getting a shot by these owners, yet there's been nothing but silence from the man himself with regards to that.

There are so many progressive owners in the NFL, that I find it damn near impossible to think that he's actually being 'blackballed'.  I think he's doing exactly what he wants to do right now.

I haven't kept up with this in recent months, so I don't know if he wants to play or not now but he's definitely been blackballed. Wasn't that the reason for the collusion case he filed?

There's nothing new to keep up with.  The collusion case attorney was supposed to have some sort of 'smoking gun' months ago and hasn't followed up with that threat.

Eric Reid filed a similar suit, has been signed to a roster, and is still following through with said suit.

ALL of the talk about whether or not he should play has all been second and third hand and the man himself hasn't said a single word about rejoining the NFL even though he's been making plenty of public appearances - all of them to do with his foundation.

I don't know whether he wants to play or not now but keeping quiet about something related to a suit is normal. After we decided to finally separate from William Griffin, he harassed us privately, talked about us like dogs to anyone who'd listen and made some pretty outlandish false allegations against us publicly. We didn't say a peep.  We knew where we stood legally and what our reputations were within the community in comparison. So we ignored it all, lived life and let the legal system run its course.

Agreed.  And your litigation with SD/WG is completely different than this.

But it goes back to what's more important to him.  Winning his case or playing football.

I don't know where either stands, but it goes back to my original point - that the only guy keeping Kaep out of the league is Kaep.

Yeah, I don't know but I'm not losing any sleep over a second or third string QB getting a chance to play again either. If it were me, I'd go for winning the case, collecting a large sum of money from the NFL, keep making Nike commercials, showing up to paid speaking engagements and continuing to be a living martyr.

I recommend reading the article I linked to. It does put forth the suggestion that Kaep's agent has been working the phones to every team. That is smart, let the agent do his job.

It also very clearly puts forth Kaep's body of work in comparison to all the other QB's working, and Kaep's body of work is superior to more than half of the QB's working right now. Those stats will be front and center when the league owners are depositioned ......

Does the article mention that BLAINE GABBERT beat out Kaepernick?  Not clamouring for anyone that got benched in favor of the worst quarterback in Jaguars history.

Having watched almost every game in which he played, his game went downhill every year since Harbaugh's last year in Frisco.

Kaepernick to the Jags is no different than someone saying that a giant ferris wheel downtown would be a game changer.

I read it when you posted it, and many others just like it - an opinion piece written by someone not directly associated with him that thinks he should be playing in the league.

Obviously, you lack vision fieldafm. People are going to flock to downtown from suburbs all over the world to go up 150 feet in the air to see the top of Maxwell House. We can fly in Kaep for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

People keep acting like we're talking about the Jaguars hiring Kaep, or Cousins, or anyone else.  Washington just hired Mark Sanchez.  Great, they're giving him a chance to play.  Is he better than Kaep?  Dunno, maybe.  What is remarkable about the QB situation is whether or not the NFL is colluding against a player because of his beliefs.  Had the Donald not made a big todo about it, would anyone have even cared?  Donald Trump said, "Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners,  when somebody disrespects our flag," Trump said, "to say, 'Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out. He's fired. He's fired!' "  But later after an accused Crown Prince is accused of killing a journalist working for the Washington Post, he says they buy billions of dollars in US weapons, they lowered our oil prices, they are great allies.  In our country, the land of the free, murder is tolerated, but protesting is evil.
"No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot."
