Is it safe to say that the Jags 'RICO Act'ed the Bills Mafia today?

What a fun atmosphere for such a terrible game.

Was worried as I was walking up toward the stadium, the crowd really did look 60/40 in terms of Jags/Bills fans, but once I got inside, I'd say it was closer to maybe 75/25 overall, maybe 80/20, with the Bills fans mostly concentrated in the upper decks.

For the most part, the Bills fans seemed pretty cool. For every sloppy jackass slurring about tarps and strength of schedule, there were five or six just having fun, chatting with Jags fans, and complimenting the city and stadium.

Haven't seen the stadium (or the roads) that packed since the pre-Khan era.

A playoff win is a playoff win. I will take it.

There were not nearly as many Bills fans as I thought there would be. In section 436, there were pockets. We really did not have any issues with the Bills fans there.

On to Pittsburgh.

Gameday experience yesterday was electric.

The Bills do travel as well as advertised.  There are shit-heads in both fan bases.  99% of the interaction before and after was fun.

Blake played like shit in the first half.  But I didn't like the gameplan either.  It was like a golfer with the yips.  Sometimes you've gotta just let one go.

He put the ball on the money on a seriously gut-check call on 4th and goal.  So there's that.

We've known Blake's issues....  What was wrong with the running game?

Our defense allowed the Bills inside of our 45 yard line on a single drive.   The other 2 that crossed the 50 ended in a punt from the 48 and a game clinching INT.

So I had an odd situation during the Bills game where I actually lost it with some fans...no not Bills fans, but Jag fans.

We moved to our seats this year with the 5 pack so we don't know all of the regulars near us yet. There were multiple people that all thru the game all they did was complain about Blake. It was non stop. Finally, in the 4th quarter, I couldn't take it anymore as one of them kept turning to me to tell me how bad he was and how our defense was being wasted. I lost it and went on a mini rant. I wasn't mad or mean about it  but essentially said you have all next week and the entire off season to talk about how bad he is but I just watched him complete a great touch down drive and we are currently winning a playoff game so I am cheering for him.

I got a mixed reaction including that I was "delusional". (well, I could have sworn they scored a td)Delusional guy didn't even seem happy the Jags were winning. One old guy fist bumped me with a "thank you" which I appreciated.

I just don't get it. I am one of Blake's biggest critics and still don't want him on the team next year(as of right now) but I still want him to succeed and make me look like an idiot. And I am damn sure I am going to cheer my ass off for him during a freaking playoff game! It was almost as if they would have preferred he failed and the team lost just so they "are right". See how smart I am?

I hope my experience was unusual.

That's not unusual at all for the average armchair QBs of the world, especially America.  They have zero idea what it means to "support" their team.  Their opinion is, "I paid my money and I can say any damn well thing I want!"  Well, yes you can.  But the object of fans is to make the team better when they are being supported, and these numbskulls clearly are not fans; they just want to bitch.  If Bortles got replaced by a Pro-bowl level QB, trust me: they'd move down to the next on the food chain.  "You know, we'd be really good, if it weren't for _______________.  We need to replace him."  Being from Michigan, I've watched it over and over (and OVER) with the Lions.  They honest to God think they'd be a championship team if it weren't for that overrated Matthew Stafford!  Good grief, the guy is probably the best QB they've had on that team since Bobby Layne led them to the title in '57, but they all know better.

SMM, by any chance were you wearing Patriots gear to the game?  I saw a fellow wearing Patriots gear in the corridor near the team shop, telling Bills fans he was a Patriots fan first but pulls for the Jags too.  Was going to see if it was you and introduce myself, but I got pulled away.

And unfortunately, I don't think your experience is all that unusual.

looks like Tuitt and Burns may be out for Pittsburgh after practice injuries. Wow.
The run of opposing team injuries prior to playing the Jags has been extraordinary.

I'll take it

Oh yeah. Love how the steelers safety is all ready talking about playing the Pats.

I love how so many people keep thinking that the game against us was a fluke.  Basically, that we had nothing to do with it...  In the right place at the right time.

Eagles game will be in London next year. Great home slate just took a major hit but at least it isn't Pats or Steelers.

From a competitive standpoint, that would actually be the game I'd want transferred (that or the Redskins). While there certainly are fans here of Philly and DC, they and the Jags aren't rivals at all. Plus, they matter very little in the tiebreakers (just in the "common games" one and below).

It was probably inevitable that it was the Eagles game switched to London...Eagles had never played there and the NFL is trying to get to where all 32 teams have played there.  I think they will be at 29 after this season?  Plus there is a general emphasis on interconference games going to London, and with the Jags having several other highly desirable home dates this year (Patriots, Steelers) there were going to be fewer tears about taking one of the marquee opponents away.

That Redskins/Jags game will be in week 1 as Kirk Cousins faces off against his former team

Pretty sure if we can get 5 picks against Big Ben this time, we got a great chance to win....
