Fournette is a first alternate, which I think is fair.
Poz is a second, which is a surprise lol. I think he's riding past seasons with that one, but I'm happy for him for sure.
Telvin is also a second alternate...think that's low obviously.
Yannick is third...again think that's low as he should've made it.
Jay-gone Mickens is a third, which is fine. Maybe low but he is relatively new.
Bohanon is third...should be higher.
Gipson is a fifth...ok, maybe low. Church could be there too.
And I still think Linder should've made the list somewhere. No O-linemen from the #1 rushing attack and 5th fewest sacks given up?

I´m a grinch about the pro bowl, but hell, can´t think of a lamer/more ridiculous judge of quality than pro bowl voting.

It´s worse than a popularity contest - it´s a f´ing name recognition context.

Not to mention it´s just an extra game whereby the NFL makes money and players get another shot at getting hurt.

I´m not an NFL player, so my opinion means nothing whatsoever....but even if I were voted in, I´d abstain from playing. (I know they are contractually bound to play, barring certain circumstances, but....)

Anyways, yeah - Pro Bowl sucks.  ;D

EDIT: if they changed the voting so that coaches voted, or players voted (or both), I think the PB would have a lot more credit as to who deserves to be playing. But because fans vote - and can vote (literally) thousands of times - it´s a bit ridiculous.

Players, coaches, and fans all vote, and each group counts for one third overall. So the fandom and voting thousands of times is capped to counting one-third of the overall selection process.

Congrats to the AFC South champions!  8)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

This was a good wake up for the young guys on the team. Hopefully, Robinson, Hurns, and Lee will be back for the playoffs.

Keith-N-Jax

Probably a good thing, these guys were getting to full of themselves, still AFC Champs regardless, Go Jags

^I agree. I was secretly hoping we'd lose to humble them.

For once I won't be moaning about Bortles.  He didn't have his best day, but the blame has to go to "the NFL's top defense".  They were atrocious.  Looked like Cleveland more than Jacksonville.  Also, the officiating was bad.  I said at the beginning of the game, watch out, Jeff Triplett is the ref.  The Jags need to come back to earth and win in Nashville to save their standing and chances in the playoffs.

The Jags can't go any lower than #3 seed. With that said, I think it is important to win in Nashville because there is chance that the Jags & Titans play again a week later. We played the Titans three times in 1999 and we all know how they went.

ProjectMaximus

I'm torn. I think I'd rest up some guys, but at the same time you definitely want to fix some of the problems ailing all phases of the game. Also, I'd probably rather play these Titans a third time than face the Chargers again.

Snaketoz

As JaxAvondale recalls, I remember '99 vividly.  I think the only team to beat the Jags that year was the Titans-3 times!  The Jags seem to do pretty well in Nashville though.  I also agree with ProjectMaximus.  I would dread facing the Chargers as well.  More so than the Steelers.

Game analysis. San Fran wanted that game way more than the Jags. They dominated at the line of scrimmage. Todd Wash never called up any blitz packages, do not understand that. The 4 man rush generated 1 sack and 4 knockdowns on 30 attempts.  Garapollo is scary good, having been on the roster for half a season. He ran the offense like a veteran. I loved their mis-direction plays, very effective. So disappointed in the lack of discipline at the end when we still had a chance.  And the poor missed call on the fumble. I think Tom Caughlin plays to win this week, no rest for the starters.
