The Jacksonville Jaguars

Peterman, Buffalo's replacement for Taylor, is someone I was half-expecting the Jags to draft in the middle rounds to compete with Blake this year.  Coincidentally, he's from Jacksonville.

So Taylor is being benched in Buffalo. Is he a QB the Jags should consider in the offseason?

Only if they plan on drafting one in the first round, and they think Taylor could be a potential very short-term starter. Sort of like the Bears did with Glennon this year.

I think it is more likely they go out and sign Kirk Cousins or go after Alex Smith if the Chiefs make him available.

Of the two, I prefer Smith. His highs are not as high as Cousins, but he also doesn't make as many mistakes. With this defense, we need error free offense and Smith is that guy. Especially when you do have some other weapons like 27, 88, 11, and 15 coming back. Not to mention Westbrook. Of course it all depends if KC wants to move on to their young gun a year before Smith's contract expires.

How f´ing refreshing is it to read a comments section ANYWHERE and see fans of other teams go on and on about NOT wanting to see the Jags this postseason...(love all the Pittsburgh fans saying things like ´all I want for Xmas is to not see the Jags at Heinz Field´)

I´d also add this is the first time in (my) memory where the Jags are getting across-the-board respect, from pundits and other team´s fans alike. Frankly, I don´t even remember this kind of talk during our 14-2 season. Crazy world.

I think it´s safe to say the Jags are a legit team. Only took 10 years of suffering!

I read that.  Gave it a thumbs up too.  Was a great comments section to read.

Not really interested in playing Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh any time in the future. They were smokin' last night.

Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster plus LeVeon Bell and Big Ben is a tough match up when they are playing well.

Yeah, they looked like a night and day difference from the team that we played earlier this year.

As did the Titans...

I think the Jaguars got Tennessee at the wrong time. Since the Titans beat Seattle, they have struggled. Mariota has been dealing with a hamstring issue and he has not played well.

They have been winning some really close games against mostly mediocre teams. And were blown out by Houston and Pittsburgh.

^ For whatever reason, their offensive line has not played well either.

Also, their corners are not in the same league as the Jaguars' corners.

I remember in the matchup against Tennessee here, Ngakoue and Fowler abused their tackles. Which was surprising because I think both had been talked up quite a bit.

I think we were a team that had gotten used to losing and was still in shock after the blowout in Houston.  We played hard the for a half, but couldn't get anything going on the offense and the defense was still getting to know one another.

They had the 'I think we can be good' mentality and got their doors blown off in the second half.

I think the week leading up to the Cincy game was the real change for our team.  We had destroyed the Steelers, should have beaten the Rams, utterly dominated the Colts and went into the bye finally realizing that they didn't have to think anymore - they WERE a good team.

Coming out of the bye, Burfict called out Bortles and he answered.  The next week, Bortles played one helluva 3 quarters and then the defense stepped in to bail him out.  I'll honestly be surprised if we lose another game.  Not because we're getting any better per se, but because the different units are starting to know that they're just better than the guys on the other side of the field.

The entire team is starting to think like Ramsey - and that's a good thing. (long read, but worth it if you're a fan)

A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

One big difference in the Jaguars between the Tennessee game and now is that the Jaguars completely went into a shell if they had a penalty that put them in unfavorable down and distance on offense.  That happened repeatedly in the third quarter of the Tennessee game and was the fire starter for the second half collapse.

It's an annoying cliché when you hear about a team learning how to win in baseball.  But in football, it's a reality.

How does the amphitheater matchup to previous venues?

How does the amphitheater matchup to previous venues?

Earlier this year, the NFL held the draft at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and blocked off the entire area.

https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2017/4/29/15489362/philadelphia-nfl-draft-host-2017-future-nfl-draft-locations

The 2015 & 2016 drafts were held in Chicago in Grant Park. The 2018 NFL Draft will be held at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

The amphitheater would work well with the draft setup. The key to the presentation is how will the Jags/city handle the flow of fans and where do they setup the interactive fan events.
