^I'm with you, the new uniforms have quite grown on me.

Mainly I like the fact that they have more color in them than the prior version.  Gold and black make nice accent colors for teal, and teal and gold make nice accent colors for black.  The 2009-12 jersey had those weird stripes on the jersey and pants, and were otherwise solid colors.  Gold was almost completely removed, and I like gold (which is probably the reason I tolerate the helmets more than most).  I think the JAGS patch on the chest is a nice touch, and unique; it honors the city's military heritage nicely too.

I like the sharp angles in the numbers, fonts, and panels on the current uniforms too.  I think it gives them more distinction than most of the "modern" Nike-fied uniforms that have ugly fonts (New England, Seattle) and silly blocky panels (Cincinnati, Atlanta).

I prefer the pre-2009 jerseys above all, but I do think the current cat head logo is an improvement over the more cartoonish original cat head.  In shape, coloration, and spot design, it looks more like the head of an actual jaguar.

I've thought way too hard about this.

^ Yes!  The best thing that came of Jaguar suing the franchise over the leaping cat logo was that we didn't ever use that uniform.

In the late 90s they considered changing to some really horrible, almost unreadable number font too.  There was a TV Guide cover with, I think, Brunell and Jimmy Smith wearing the prototype for that.

I remember seeing them debut this uniform - at a press conference or something. The guy wearing it was either a model or some average Joe. Not a football player at all - so he looked really scrawny in the uniform and made it look that much worse. I tried to find that photo, but no luck.

^ The press conference model for the uniform was indeed an average guy.  It was Wayne Weaver's brother Ron.  That photo is in the Times-Union commemorative "We Did It!" book.

As I recall, he looked a bit uncomfortable. Those uniforms were the worst. I think the new logo is better anyway. I wasn't crazy about the first one.

I never cared for the teal (it was such an overdone trend at the time) - but I actually think I'd be sad to see it go now.

News Flash:  Jags lose to inferior opponent.   Deja vu?

I would talk trash but I can't. My fish look like the worse team in the league right now.

The Jags will never have a winning season with Bortles as QB.  How many more years will they squander waiting on this bust to become just a mediocre QB?  He is awful.   We need a spark at the position.  Bortles lacks any real skill, yet the Jags keep wasting time on him.  Wake up and get a QB.  He has problems passing beyond the line of scrimmage.  Listening to him speak all of his worn-out clichés makes me want to hurl.  Bortles is a joke!

The Texans, who we crushed in their home opener, just crushed the Titans, who crushed us in our home opener.

Does not look good going forward.  Unfortunately the Jags need to improve. Status quo not gonna be good enough.

Jaguars should have just kicked a field from the Jets 46 yard line, when the Jets flipped the field and pinned the Jags deep, I said ball game,

Do Steelers fans call the fifth interception of the day "one for the thumb" too?

Great win for the Jaguars.  Great defense, great running backs who kept Bortles from having to carry the team.  Smart plan.

Can´t even begin to fathom how we´d ACTUALLY be ´elite´if we had a legit QB!!

Great win, eventually going to need the offense to do a lot more. Great win nonetheless

Great win for the Jags. Probably their biggest win in almost a decade.

Hopefully they can keep this going with the running game and defense.

It sure would be nice to see a game like this (aka 'Blowout') in Jacksonville.
