They posted on their facebook page that it is due to owner health problems...

Surely somebody could buy it and take over the lease?

DANGIT!!! Volstead is one of the best bars in the city.  Real shame to see it close

Just saw an article on JBJ that Volstead will not be closing.  It will remain open under new ownership.
