Philly has a good set up for the fans. The Jags & city could do something similar at Met Park.

Per Adam Schefter, the NFL Draft has become so in-demand that 16 different cities have representatives in Philly scouting the setup for future draft bids.

Jax will have some serious competition.

I would think so, good way to show case the city.

Philly is expecting 200,000 attendees. In my opinion, hosting an NFL Draft is much better than hosting a Super Bowl in terms of the overall economic benefit to the entire city.

There are some really good offensive linemen that weren't selected in the first round.

I think Green Bay is going to take Dalvin Cook to start the day because they don't need much help on their o-line. After that, I would guess that Seattle will take OT Cam Robinson as the best tackle remaining, and Jacksonville will select G Forrest Lamp. Need to strengthen the line and give Fournette room to run.

As for the 3rd round, my guess would be that if TE Jake Butt is still there, we'll take him. We need a tight end because neither Mercedes Lewis nor any of the 6 other tight ends on the team currently are really starting quality TEs. If there isn't a good TE, then I would expect another o-lineman.

ESPN just said that 23 teams have said they want to host it (out of the 30 cities with teams). The current expectation is that Dallas is going to get it next year, but 2019 is up in the air still.

Pack will take a corner or trade back again.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Hard to be excited about Fournette when you look at our O line.  Last season we had one of the worst O lines, based on rushing statistics.

Our backs did fine when they had a seam or hole to run through. Those were few and far between.

Looking back on our last  9 first round draft picks (all Top 10 Picks)  I count ZERO Pro Bowls amongst the entire group. (Correct me if you know otherwise).
This is a disastrous legacy for first round picks. You would expect double digit Pro Bowls and 2-3 true NFL SuperStars from that many Top 10 First Rounders.  That is really where this franchise has failed.

Fournette is probably a better prospect than any of the last 10, so hopefully we can figure out a way to improve the O line before season starts.

I will wait for the rest of the Draft to complete to make a grade on my Jags.

The race is not always to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor satisfaction to the wise,
Nor riches to the smart,
Nor grace to the learned.
Sooner or later bad luck hits us all.

The draft is for the fans.  The SuperBowl is for the CEOs.

The fans expect to pay for things.  The CEOs think they've already paid enough.

Just my $.02.

Agree 100%! Fans will come and spend money around the entire city.

If so, that's very good for us. Bring Cam Robinson to Big Duval.

Because we've been caught in the storm for so long, we're stuck with some rash (or should I say harsh) overgeneralizations.

The last ten years of first round picks? How about the first round picks since Caldwell arrived? Many are writing as if Blake has failed; he has not. As if Dante has failed; he absolutely has not. Luke Joeckel? Yeah, that's a bad miss. Jalen? Who doesn't love that pick? Until proven otherwise, I'm saying that's a 75% success rate.

If the word on the street is accurate (the Jaguars think their offensive line is better than people realize) *and* the Jaguars (with an offensive line coach as head coach) turn out to be correct in that assessment, EVERYTHING changes this season.

And for everyone blasting Blake, take a look at Eli Manning's first four seasons with a clearly better and more stable franchise. Year 1, 6 TDs & 9 INTs; Year 2, 24 & 17; Year 3, 24 & 18; Year 4, 23 & 20.

Ease up on Blake as he enters his fourth season.

With as much capital having been spent on the DL over the past few years, I don't have an issue with them passing on Allen.

There were no #4 Pick OL talent on the board, so the Fournette pick is ok with me.

I would love to see either Robinson or the OG from Western Michigan with the next pick.

OL is the biggest glaring need now.

Gorgeous picture of Downtown Jacksonville being featured on the MSN home page right now. How rare is that.
