Not gonna miss that Subway. That little shopping center is due for some improvements, IMO.

Anybody remember the coffee shop that used to be there?

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Common Grounds, yes, great lady that owned it. I think her high school daughter had all her friends come up there on weekends and took over the parking lot. It was nice in the morning with the couches and TV.

Common grounds was awesome.  I think that center is definitely due for an update.  Once East San Marco is built, I hope they will renovate and rework that whole site to attract some higher end tenants.

Last time I tried to go to Mezze I felt like I was interrupting a drug deal, or a funeral, or something... haven't paid attention since but I think it's still vacant. The Cricket wireless moved out and is still empty. Nails & ice cream seem to be going strong.

This place ought to do well here. There are about 40 boutique salons in the area, but nowhere to get a regular dang haircut.

^I'm sticking with Razed Right on San Marco. But yeah, that was one of my pet peeves about living in San Marco before Razed Right opened - like a thousand fancy salons, and no normal friggin' barbers. It was up there with no grocery and no pharmacy with later hours.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

I'm a Razed Right fan also...

Razed Right for me too.

I have been going to Jamie for 2+ years now and followed her over from Pomade and Tonic.

Best cut in town.
