"Riverside could be gaining another restaurant and rooftop bar.
Owners of the Summit Tower at 1000 Riverside Ave. want to rezone the property to accommodate a first-floor restaurant and a bar on the ninth floor.

The name is the River & Post Restaurant and Rooftop Bar, although managing partner Jeff McCusker is not ready to share a lot of details, pending zoning and other approvals."

Heard about this. Should be smooth sailing towards approval. Another great addition to the area.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

It's exciting to hear about this. Every time I'm at the Burrito Gallery in Brooklyn or the roof of Black Sheep, I wonder why there aren't more restaurants and bars that take advantage of the temperate climate and amazing views that can be had from rooftops in the area.

Hoptinger and Cowford will have rooftop bars.

My questions is is there really going to be enough parking for the restaurant during the day.

Otherwise 2017 is really looking good for new and ongoing projects all over the core.

I know of about 2,000 people who might be interested in walking over for lunch.  Other than a couple sandwich shops (Jimmy John's, Johnny's, and Akel's deli), and the cummer, this will be the closest restaurant for a few thousand employees on Riverside Ave.  If they do a good job, I'm sure they will draw a lot of foot traffic.

Burger Fi, Zoes, BG, Brixx, Hobnob, whatever goes into old Corner Bakery, Fresh Market?  I'd be a little more worried about this location being successful since it is basically all out by itself.

^Other than Hob Nob, all the restaurants you listed are farther away for Black Knight, FIS, 121 Financial, Vystar, Red Cross.... Etc. Additionally, at that point you only have to walk across a Riverside Ave that is only 3 lanes wide as opposed to 6 lanes.

There is already an 80 space parking lot at the building that isn't used after 5PM or on weekends.

Terrible name and some decisions for this place have me questioning how successful this place will be.  I could very easily be completely off the mark, but from what I have read and heard, it reeks of: "Oooooh, that Riverside neighborhood is a hot spot, let's do a restaurant."

Possibly, but I've been to many restaurants across the country with a good view that make it in spite of their terrible execution.

My gosh man.  Do you have anything remotely positive to say about any development in this City?
