What I love about the self-aggrandizing titles like bishop, apostle, prophet is how it is such a contrast to Jesus.

The gospels spell out a story where people are continually trying to figure out if Jesus is the messiah. He never called himself Messiah Jesus. Whenever he was asked directly if he was the messiah, Jesus would point to a plane in the sky to distract everyone and then one walk away.
