It looks like this story is getting even more interesting. Not only is this heinous human being a member of the congregation - he left the meeting in a church van, but he was also employed by the church and currently lives on church property.

So just another wholesome member of First Baptist in other words?  This has to make their list of top 10 stunts of all time.  And that's saying something.

Clearwater has Scientologists.  We have First Baptist.

First Baptist wasn't involved in the Child Molester incident in any way.

Well then, there's a new organization that has risen up to take First Baptist's throne as chief meddler of Jacksonville politics.

The human rights ordinance is something that some companies require before setting up shop in a community.  The Evangel Temple is responsible for keeping jobs out of Jax at the end of the day.  Kinda dumb move on their part.  They're anti-business and filled with sex offenders.  Yeah, I'm sure their pews will be filled with families with young children this Sunday...

QuotePastor Gary Wiggins Evangel Temple said he was shocked about what was said last night. Wiggins said Bay had worked several years as a maintenance man, but that job ended since September and that Bay and his wife still lived on the property.

"We had no knowledge of his claims he made before the City Council until last night. In response to his [Bay] claims the church is taking appropriate actions to safeguard the families and children of our congregation," Wiggins said. "We encourage and want the police to do a full investigation serving justice as appropriate."

Wiggins told the congregation Wednesday night the church's doors are open anyone and with that comes people who are broken and many times turn to the church for help. The congregation prayed over the Bay situation

I recently realized that I knew Roy Bay. He lived in guest house a few blocks away from my family in Riverside, and dated a close friend's mother for years in the mid-90's. My friend & I were around him a lot, ran errands with him on occasion, etc. He presented as a bit odd, not very bright, and outwardly religious. He always had some kind of minor conflicts going on with JSO, as well. Sort of a real version of Kip in Napoleon Dynamite.

News4Jax got an interview with him, and lo and behold, he's changed his story again. He now says he molested children here in Jax (he previously said it happened in St. Louis), and that after being molested himself he was sold into sex slavery to a man who recently died. He says these memories were "suppressed", but he recovered them after an accident.

Cops say he frequented Memorial Park and potential victims could be men who were between 10 and 18 during the mid-1980s. They have the name of the man who Bay claims molested him and are investigating.

Of course, none of this actually has anything to do with the Human Rights Ordinance.
