How was the P-8 fly by?

Pretty darn cool! I saw them practicing on Thursday while crossing the Buckman and was thrown off by seeing such large planes flying so close to each other. Watching them while in the stadium was pretty cool!

Thanks wanderson... it was briefly mentioned on the broadcast but if it was on TV I missed it... I also saw em practicing Thursday.

Awesome! Thanks Roadking... I wanna don a flight suit again...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Did anyone see Matt Hasselbeck trying to find Telvin Smith after the game? Hasselbeck was pretty frosty on the push that injured his ribs. That is probably the last we will see of him (ever) in a uniform.  Expect to see him in the TV booth next year.

"Pony Tail" Whitehurst will keep the Colts warm until they fire Pagano.

The absurd thing about Hasselbeck's reaction was that it was a clean hit. He was moving for the sideline, but was still in bounds. If he didn't want to get hit, shouldn't have been standing there. We need Houston to win Sunday (and they've never won in Indy), so Telvin may have made the biggest play of the game by setting Whitehurst up to start against the Texans.

Falcons game has been bumped to 4PM!

The Indy game was something I had been waiting for all season. A complete game. Every game it seemed as if one aspect of the team excelled while another collapsed. Yesterday, both the defense, offense AND special teams contributed.

What makes me FINALLY excited for the future is that we have found us a QB and he will be ours for a long time. Exciting.

IDK if there's been anything in print related to this, but from what I saw, he looked pissed because he knew something was broken.

I also thought that TY Hilton was about to get into it with Telvin over the hit, too.  They had quite a bit to say to each other right after the play.

Where did you see the Falcons game was moved to 4pm?  I didn't think the league could move the time slot unless they were bumping the game up to the NBC sunday night game.

Don't see anything on Falcons, but Jaguars @ Saints in 2 weeks is now at 4:05.

QuoteJaguars Bold Rush jerseys bring more than $38,000 in online auction

By Clay Zeigler  Mon, Dec 14, 2015 @ 10:00 am | updated Mon, Dec 14, 2015 @ 10:15 am

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' was perhaps never truer than on Sunday night, when someone agreed to pay more than $5,000 for a Jaguars Bold Rush jersey.

Forty-four of the mustardy-gold-brown-yellow jerseys worn by the Jaguars in their Nov. 19 prime-time win over Tennessee were sold in an online auction that ended at 10:15 p.m. Sunday. Sports memorabilia experts had said prices could be helped by the fact the jerseys may never be worn again, an idea plenty of fans after the game said they would support.

Not surprisingly, the highest bid of all — $5,108 — was for the signed No. 5 of quarterback Blake Bortles. Linebacker Paul Posluszny's 51 went for $2,618; and bidders paid $1,787 each for the jerseys of receiver Allen Robinson and linebacker Telvin Smith.

Getting the least love from fans were guard Tyler Shatley and tackle Sam Young. Their jerseys sold for $360. Six of the signed jerseys sold for $432.

Bidders plunked down more than $38,000 in all. The auction benefits the Jaguars Foundation.

I doubt that slamming his helmet into the ground 6 or 7 times helped anything  ;D

An absolute waste of taxpayer dollars and further conflation of the NFL with the worst kinds of rah-rah-rah mindless patriotism, which involves zero introspection, that is ruining this country.

My understanding is that the Jaguars reimburse the USG for flyovers. They are not a gimme.

Also, if you dont think flyovers by any branch are appropriate,  then you are against recruitment commercials on TV, as they serve the same purpose.

The Jaguars can afford to reimburse them because of the taxpayer money that we throw at them.  We just gave them another 45 million btw.  No extracurricular activities in our public schools, but at least the football fans have flyovers.

Is this an endorsement for additional hotel tourism bed taxes to support education?

Want more funding for schools?  Raise the millage rate.

And there's plenty of 'extra'-curricular activity in our schools, just not so much in the 'regular'-curricular in the way of the arts, sports or even home-ec type learning.

Whoops, totally misread the tweet. The Saints game is at 4PM not the Falcons.

For an out-of-town indication of people taking notice of the Jaguars, I give you the weekly New York Post ranking of all 32 NFL teams from THIS week:

http://nypost.com/2015/12/15/nfl-power-rankings-have-jaguars-finally-risen/

Up to number 20 from 26. Hopefully we don't lay an egg against Atlanta.

Nice, hope its not true, something I would have thought Stephen would find....

QuoteAnother Army vet, Brian Van Reet, pointed out the cynicism of the Department of Defense paying NFL teams so people would cheer for veterans, calling it "more evidence that we do not have a national culture so much as a series of national marketing campaigns." His email concluded with the sentiment, "People can support me by giving me a briefcase full of cash. That's about the most sincere and meaningful gesture that is possible nowadays."
