Felt bad for Myers when he missed the XP and then kick off through the up-rights with 20yds to spare and the entire stadium booed... Unless he makes a drastic change in the off season I can't see him with the Jags though...

Well he did get the biggest cheers after he made the next XP lol.  ;D

I'll happily collect a half million dollars per season to get booed :D

Oh God, The AFC South Is So Bad, The Jaguars Could Win The Division

http://deadspin.com/oh-god-the-afc-south-is-so-bad-the-jaguars-could-win-1747821060

The AFC South is a carnival of incompetence and bad luck; the Indianapolis Colts began the year thinking they were a Super Bowl contender only to collapse with vigor; the Houston Texans have lost all their offensive players worth a damn and their talisman has a broken paw; the Titans are cleaning house, and are, well, the Titans. Meanwhile, the ever-laughable Jaguars are 5-8, which is normally good for a respectable third place behind the Colts, but in this year's shitpile of an AFC South, there's a scenario where they could win the division.

Today, they dominated the Colts down in Jacksonville 51-16. They scored on a punt return, a fumble return, and ripped off a 48-3 run over the last 31 minutes. Blake Bortles learned the rules of football and threw three touchdowns then ran for another one. Their offense is clicking, and Allen Robinson looks like the best receiver that team has had in a long time.
metrics, one of the worst units in the league. Playing against Matt Hasselbeck then Charlie Whitehurst today will improve their stats, but as poorly as the Falcons and Saints have played lately, they still have top-tier quarterbacks.

If the Jaguars are to make the playoffs, it'll be more because the Texans slip up. Houston has a far easier schedule, but J.J. Watt's broken hand leaves the door open. They shouldn't even be here, as they only beat the Ravens on a blown call, but it would sort of be a fitting tribute to the dreadful AFC South if the Jaguars won it. It probably won't happen, but given Allen Robinson's emergence as a legit leading receiver, Blake Bortles' occasional flashes of competence, and a full-on implosion in Indianapolis, it's at least possible.

Actually, he has been pretty damn good on field goals. The difficulty with extra points (about a 33 yard field goal) is bizarre but is being replicated around the League (although mostly to a lesser degree than our guy).

But what an incredible win. We've been waiting for that type of game for a very long time.

How about Blake Bortles, y'all? Ten touchdowns in the last three games and only one interception !!! Hopefully we can close out this year on an incredible run to the playoffs. Even if we can't, however, the pieces are starting to bloom and the future doesn't just look bright . . . the play on the field proves it *is* bright.

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Just my 2 cents. The return of Julius Thomas to the receiving corp has done the most to help the offense. By forcing one of the DB's into 1 on 1 coverage, it has opened up Robinson. By putting a linebacker on him, it allows the running game to extend further into the field and gives Bortles a great audible option.

The defense did great with the Colts, but I am still a little bummed they gave up so many points to the Titans.

But no one is complaining about the lack of offensive output anymore. Greg Olsen has definitely taken that where it hasnt been in a long, long time.

Man, if only we had won last week. Now in order to win the division, we have to win out our last three games and hope that both the Colts and the Texans lose 2 out of their next three games.  A pretty tall order, but I guess at least there is a small chance in December. That is something, right?

I will be happy to bet anyone $100 who thinks they are going more than 5-9.

This year?  I'll take that bet.

We're 5-8 now, so a win or a loss with 3 left to play and you owe me $100.

Wait.....

Has anyone seen MMR on this thread lately?

MMR said they wouldn't be back until the season is over.
I too am looking forward to that 100$.

We can definitely beat the lowly Falcons next week. I would be very happy with 6-10 or better, but doubling our wins would be HUGE from last year!

How was the P-8 fly by?

Pretty darn cool! I saw them practicing on Thursday while crossing the Buckman and was thrown off by seeing such large planes flying so close to each other. Watching them while in the stadium was pretty cool!

I would hope so. But that game sort of feels like the San Diego game. The Chargers have scored 3 points in three of their last four games. The other was 31 against the Jaguars. If Ryan has time to sit in the pocket, it could be a similar game.

Thanks wanderson... it was briefly mentioned on the broadcast but if it was on TV I missed it... I also saw em practicing Thursday.

Did anyone see Matt Hasselbeck trying to find Telvin Smith after the game? Hasselbeck was pretty frosty on the push that injured his ribs. That is probably the last we will see of him (ever) in a uniform.  Expect to see him in the TV booth next year.

"Pony Tail" Whitehurst will keep the Colts warm until they fire Pagano.
