Copperfiend says :

" It was never discussed that Julius Thomas would miss half the season. And the 2012 draft is irrelevant because that GM was fired."

Tell that to the Patriots. The GM who drafted Tom Brady is long gone, but the results keep paying dividends.

On my ESPN Fantasy Football link it says " Gus Bradley said about Thomas,  " Bradley confirmed that Thomas will have his hand re-evaluated in two weeks, but he also offered a rather strange quote, saying that Thomas is "on schedule to be back, hopefully under the eight weeks, the six weeks." What exactly Bradley meant by the comment is unclear, but it would seem to imply that a Week 4 return is far from set in stone. Thomas began practicing on a limited basis Wednesday, and he'll likely continue to do so for the next two weeks. A more concrete timetable may not be available until after Week 3, so in the meantime continue to consider Marcedes Lewis the Jaguars' top option at tight end.

Believe me I want him back, as do most Jags fans.

Any predictions for this weekend? At a minimum, I see Bortles throwing at least one pick six, lots of holding penalties from the Jag's OL, and Wake getting his first sack or two of the season.
Yo, Ennis:

Hey Suh really dominated on that one play where he helped make that one tackle for loss. So somebody want to calculate how many millions he made for his one tackle?  ;D

I-10east

The Jags are tied for 1st place in the AFC South baby!!! AR15 is a monster!!!

Rashad Greene needs to get his mind right if he's gonna stay in this league. He's got skills, I think it's just mental/psychological.

Wake getting his first sack or two of the season.

One or two?  Wake is going to feast on Sam Young this Sunday.

Some feast!

Can anyone out there name all the Super Star NFL Players on our current roster?

I can.  There are none. Not one.  Not one player we could trade today for another Super Star Player.

Watching last nights game between Denver and Kansas City, there were great players , All Pro Super Star Players on both teams.

Somehow through the last 3-4 years we have failed to pick up one Super Star Player through Free Agency or the draft. It sort of dawned on

me that this is the responsibility of the GM.  Look at our last 4 first round picks. Two busts, one out for the year (so we have no idea how he

will perform), and Blake Bortles. Also no way to know how he is going to turn out. If they start calling him Blaine Bortles we'll be in a heap of

crap. Our supposed best player is Julius Thomas, who might miss the first half of the season according to Coach Gus Bradley. You would

have a hard time trading a guy on injured reserve.  Just reflecting on this team. It's freaking sad.

Just looked it up. Paul Posluszny was the last Jag to make the Pro Bowl, in 2013.

Yeah, it may be a bit early -- a bit -- but it sure does look like you need to seriously re-assess that Negative Nelly perspective. Young receivers making superlative plays, young QB ballin' for real, young RB handling his bidness bigtime, depleted offensive line allowing no sacks to Ndamukong Who??? and his mates & that's just the offense.

On defense, that Miami offense is serious. Tannehill was accurate as heck and that Landry kid IS FOR REAL! Still, we were a team lacking their number one draft pick who will bring serious pressure on the opposing QB next year, and the best D-lineman from last year still out, DBs going down during the game and exposing adequate DEPTH from the practice squad . . . yes, MusicMan, this team is clearly moving in the right direction. They'll take some steps back this season and also exhibit some more superlative sparks. But they are moving in the right direction.

Time to put Negative Nelly down and get back on the Jaguar Train.

You Jags fans are so cruel! Found this on my desk when I made it into the office this morning....

DL is definitely the biggest disappointment of the Dolphins season so far. The pass rush was supposed to make it easier on our weak secondary and linebacker positions. Bortles had why too much time to hang in the pocket yesterday. All that money to Suh and he's got a whopping two tackles in two games. Really need him to stop eating stone crabs and chasing tail on South Beach and show up on Sunday. It's two games in, so it's still early, but that $114 million contract will sink this team for years if he turns out to be a bust after getting his huge pay day.

Don't get too excited. While Tannehill is getting better and the Phins have a few playmakers at the skill positions (can't wait to see #1 draft pick WR Devante Parker and Landry on the field together), the bad part of giving Suh all that money is the OL was not addressed. Other than Pouncey, the rest of the OL is rookies and guys who should be backups. Tannehill will be a lot better if he had some decent pass protection.
