That's great news.  Marcus Lemonis has 2 homes in Lake Forest, so I'm not surprised to hear that he chose that location for their first expansion.  He seems to be staying very close to the brand and investing a lot of his time into it.  I'm glad both he and Pete & Allison are finding success with the Sweet Pete's business.

QuoteWhy the time is right for Sweet Pete's to go national

When Marcus Lemonis showed up in Jacksonville, the star of CNBC's "The Profit" could see the potential in Sweet Pete's confectionery.
But even though he knew it could grow, he said in a Friday interview with the Business Journal, he didn't foresee the brand going national.
As of Friday, though, the candy store has started the process of growing outside the area. Sweet Pete's has bought Jolly Good Fellows Sweet Boutique in Lake Forest, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

Good for them!  Wish them the best of luck, was there yesterday, great unique place.  I believe there was another post about them acquiring Farah's Deli and expanding across the street with something slightly different?

Sweet Pete's is expecting to add 2 more southeastern locations. Apparently they've also outgrown their downtown location...I wonder if/when the buildings nextdoor will be back on the table for offices, storage, classes, etc.
