Two men brawl in Baldwin Park Publix

Shopping wasn't a pleasure at this ritzy Baldwin Park Publix, in suburban Orlando, when two middle-aged men were not mature enough to keep their hands off each other.

Are you guys serious with this shit??

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

lol, how does this relate to Jacksonville?

I've been a forum member for awhile and I beg you, please don't turn metrojacksonville into another Buzzfeed. I would rather have more stories that focus on our community and development than this kind of crap. I've always liked metrojacksonville for it's quality and not its quantity. Stick to your original mission.

Lol. Don't worry about that. There are quite a few neighborhood tours, downtown comparison, development, Jax history and lifestyle stories lined up. The new urban development project & construction section is just about ready to go live as well. Stay tuned!  8)

MJ goes Worldstar!

Hands down, the weirdest post I've ever seen on MetroJacksonville.

Not complaining, it certainly woke me up :D

One possible way it can relate to Jax....or any community in this country, is the way we generally view our inner city neighborhoods verses our suburbs.  If I mentioned there was a brawl in grocery store, most would think such an event would happen in Winn-Dixie off State & Union, moreso than Publix in Nocatee. If it were off State & Union, then there would be talk about high crime and thugs in Springfield and downtown.

Just on this forum alone, I can't count the number of threads where people have mentioned avoiding stuff like this is a reason for moving to areas like Northern St. Johns County and avoiding Northwest Jax.  We (Jax included) even go as far as to structure our public policy, placing neighborhoods we're afraid of at an economic disadvantage to newer posh areas. Reality is, if Nocatee is our suburban cream of the crop, when it comes to newer new urbanist communities, it really doesn't hold a candle to what Orlando's Baldwin Park has developed into. Nevertheless, despite the manicured lawns, low percentage of minorities, good schools, etc., you can't escape idiots.

I think it's a stretch to say this relates to Jax or that it's relevant to Baldwin Park. Shit happens sometimes, even in "nice" places. Remember a few years ago when a woman ran over another woman in the Ponte Vedra Publix parking lot?

This story isn't worthy of being a featured piece on the front page...

Lol, now that's a stretch. You managed to find some good ol boys brawling it up in a nice suburb (and had to go all the way to Orlando to do it), post it front page on an urban Jacksonville site, throw the words "thugs" in there for good measure, just to say "see you guys, happens everywhere!"??

Just..damn. :/
