Anyone have any insight as to who is renovating the old gas station looking building at 1604 San Marco?  I used to live a few blocks away from this building and always thought that it would be a great location for a small burger joint, coffee shop, bakery, etc.

I don't know how so many of these projects have been in the "renovation" stage for almost a year now. Like the happy grilled cheese and that bar in 5 points! How can they even afford to just let it sit? Move in or move out.

Any idea what is being built next to Indochine Downtown? I believe this is in what was formally the old gas works building.

Ennis always does great job with this, but can you provide an update on 904 Margaret Street? This is one of the most beautiful buildings in Riverside and sat in purgatory for several years. It has now been rescued and I believe it is home to a GC and construction management company.

As a Realtor I showed it many times and am glad someone finally got it done.

^I took it out of the construction update because the tenant (Lane Architecture) has already moved into it. Here was the blurb about it in last month's update:

Lane Architecture is renovating 904 Margaret Street for office use on both floors. The 2,833-square foot, two story structure was originally built in 1916.

Hello everyone! I saw today that Lane Architecture and CMS group are on the 2nd floor of 904 Margaret and there is a shared break room, conference room, and an additional 800+ square foot tenant space for lease on the first floor. (they are still looking for a tenant)

This beautiful, Mediterranean Revival building from the late 1920's was gradually deteriorating for over ten years before Jeff Lane and partner bought it.  We live just up the street and have watched the renovation.  They have done an immaculate job.

All of the original windows were removed and rebuilt.  Every crack in the stucco was properly patched; all of the old paint was removed from the stucco before the building was repainted.  Everything that is new outside looks exactly like it was there originally.  All of the original molded concrete work was cleaned and carefully restored to original.

They have set a new standard for the rescue and rehabilitation of an old building.

We were actually very interested in this one but it was in a holding pattern for awhile and it was hard to get straight answers from the brokers/owners. In the end definitely glad we didnt get it...the nature of this building would have been well beyond our level of care/comfort. It worked out better for everyone!!
