I didn't say you said anything. Fact- the team set a franchise record of QB sacks 71. Not the best environment for down the field passes. As the rookies on the O-line get stronger in the off season and better a pass protection we should see more shots down the field.

Also the LT will get better. He was rehabbing all last off season. He'll be bulking up against the bullrush this time, which will also help the shots down the field.

Is anyone completely sold that Tampa & Tennessee is gonna snatch up Winston & Mariota respectfully, like in the mock drafts? I'm not so sure about that; I don't know if the Titans are willing to give up on Zach Mettenberger so quickly like everybody think. I won't be a bit surprised if TEN gets Leonard Williams, and IF they do that, we (Jags) should pounce on Amari Cooper. These things never go as planned; Remember when we supposed to have gotten Sammy Watkins in the 2014 draft? The results of this Rose Bowl tonight could be very impactful on the NFL draft.

I read on Bleacher Tenn was going to stick with Mettenberger. It will be interesting to see who the Jags picks. Cadwell surprised a lot of us Bortles last year. Tampa needs a QB. I don't see Winston going in the top 5, too many red flags!

^^^ Do you think that Tampa is gonna get Mariota?

Keith-N-Jax

Well they do need a QB right? I guess. I'm thinking Jags go defense no matter what.

Tampa has so many holes, I wouldn't be surprised if they attempt to trade down. However, if they do go QB, Mariota will probably be the choice.

Tampa needs an OC too and I saw they are interviewing Mularkey. Cant think of a worse choice.

I hope like hell that Tenn picks Marriota. He's a system quaterback (although he is the best qb to distribute plays through Oregon's system).

thelakelander

I think Tenn will skip picking a QB.

I think Mettenberger will be decent.  I actually hope they pick Jameis.

FWIW: JDR is interviewing for the Raiders job.

He wont last long there. What's the average shelf life for a Raiders coach?

Remember, he is an alum of USC, and is a California native. I think he'll be there a long time, if chosen.

The Jaguars are set to interview 49ers Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman and Vikings Running Backs coach Kirby Wilson in search for their next OC.  Still think Trestman is the best option, I'm surprised that they haven't tried to set up an interview with him yet.
