Honestly, we could go on for quite a while pulling the stats that will support our own argument, I just happen to have more of them on my side.  ;D

I'm going to have to agree here. This is not a very deep draft class. I could be wrong, but I don't know of any other dominating player in college football worthy of a high first round draft pick to fill a void at TE, FS, LB.  Gurley is certainly a rarity in his abilities and would make our offense lethal next season. Get him first.

I can see why you would want Gurley if you think that TE, FS, and LB are our biggest voids.
So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

I saw the Xfinity NFL Network highlights of the Miami @ Chicago game, and the Dolphins trounced them pretty much in every facet. The score could have easily been worst then what it was (27-14, with MIA missing two field goals). I'm not gonna lie, the Phins scare me a lil' after watching the Bears game highlights, and the Jags better be squared away out there. Hopefully Bortles has a good game. It should be a competitive game, Go Jags!!!

^Glad you see the light! Should have beat Green Bay too but left too much time on the clock for Aaron Rodgers to do his last minute magic. Luckily, for the Jags, the Phins have a tendency to play down to the level of competition. This is one of those games where I wish Henne were still starting. Nevertheless, I expect the Phins D-Line to have their way with the Jag's O-Line and running game.

Luckily for the Phins, it isn't December yet.  They tend to collapse when "winter" hits Miami

I think it is a close game. It is hard to ignore the point differential in Henne's three starts (minus 75) versus Bortles' four starts (minus 11). Aside from the second half at San Diego, the team has been in contention since the kid started. I like the way some of the rookies like Allen Robinson, Brandon Linder and Telvin Smith seem to be hitting their stride. And the defense overall has been playing really well the last three weeks.

^^^I think that it's close too. Miami has some talent, but they still are very inconsistent. I'm glad that we are facing a Miami team coming off of a big win, rather than an angry desperate team coming off of a loss.

I don't think it will be a close game. I think the double digit losses return. The Browns limped into that game last Sunday, yet it was 10-6 in the 4th qtr. They've been in contention because of the opposition but atleast they were competitive. Miami may not be a world beater but they are pretty solid on both sides of the ball. I would love to eat a plate of crow Sunday though :)

The game is over and the result is what it is. But even with the 2 pick sixes Blake Bortles is going to be a Great quarterback. Yes it was bad but he just keeps bouncing back and making strides. But I am not naive, Blake lost the game....... Period. But like I said it's ok. As a fan I want to be mad but I just can't.
I think we have some real young talent on this team and since the season is over it will be fun to watch their progress.
The hardest part to accept is based on their remaining schedule and the results so far this year I only see 2 more wins at best and maybe none.
The only two games I feel good about, if you can call it that, are the Giants and the Titans. We should have a great draft pick again though.
Still love ya Jags!

Good game. Yes, Bortles and those young receivers will only get better as time goes on. But today, Bortles was the Dolphins best QB. On both of those picks, you could see them coming a mile away.

The game was closer than the score indicated. Jaguars could have been up 10-0 or 13-0 in the first quarter. Too many mistakes. Bortles overthrowing Robinson in the end zone, bad blocking of the FG again.

The team is 1-7 now and has a brutal stretch ahead. Would be surprised if they win one of the next three. At Cincy, Dallas in London and at Indy. Could be 1-10.

Could be?? Defense is playing well enough to win, just need offense time to gel/grow together

Bortles seems to be chasing Manning's rookie season INT record HARD.

That said, there's still a completely different feeling with him on the field.  It's almost as though I feel that I can overlook the INTs, and they were BAD ones today, but I feel that he can lead us down the field and score just as easily.

I love the fact that Robinson gained another 100 yards on the ground.

I love the way our defense pretty much shut the Dolphins out.

I'm looking forward to the time when the entire team plays as a unit.  We're going to be really good.

On a side note, there seemed to be a helluva lot of Miami fans in the stands today.  I'd say probably 1/6th and they were loud when they needed to be in the first half.  I spoke to quite a few people around me that made the drive from Miami, Tampa, Orlando etc...   So from a non-fan POV, it's a positive thing to see so many people travelling here to see a 1-6 team playing a 3-3 team.
