Why is Ricky Stanzi on this team while T Tebow sits at home?

BB5 is the real deal, that O-line though?

Not a good night.  Some injuries that could prove costly.

Poz should be ok. Marks is the one that worries me.

I was a bit skeptical when they took Bortles. I have some really good friends that are UCF boosters, so I go to a few games every year. I never got the sense in watching him that he was a top 5 pick in the NFL. Solid player but not a franchise guy. I was wrong. He is an absolute stud. He's already becoming the face of the franchise.

I know Bradley said Henne will start week one but I feel all he is doing is delaying the inevitable.

How are the UM rookies, WR Hurns& OL Linder looking? Hmm, Jags have UM's offensive coordinator too...

Linder is solid.. Hurns??? An absolute beast. I don't know how the hell he went undrafted. That goes to show that the scouts don't know it all.

Because Stanzi will probably never see the field in a regular season game. EVER! lol

I think it boils down to the fact that Bradley is not the decision. He cant give an off the cuff answer after a game and say that bortles will now be the week one starter. They way they seem to operate is that things are a collective decision, usually headed up by Caldwell. The thing is its going to get hard to keep justifying not starting him, and they will eventually run out of excuses. He has shown everything you want to see, including playing with good protection, and no protection at all. That play he made from a crowded pocket last night and evaded a defender was jaw dropping. I couldn't believe a Jags QB did that.

Truer words were never spoken.

Tom Brady a 6th Round Pick.

JaMarcus Russell, No 1 Pick.

Hurns has been the most exciting player to watch for me so far, even over Bortles. The kid is a straight play maker! He was all over the field against Detroit!

^^^It's hard to believe that he went undrafted. I'll still say that Bortles is the most exciting Jags player IMO, but Hurns is gaining steam! :)

The biggest regret for the Jaguars this pre-season so far was the inability to sign Alex Mack this offseason, especially with all the center woes they've been having. Cleveland was very smart to franchise him.

Disagree, bigtime. Blake Bortles is *the* most exciting thing that has happened to our franchise in years. And I mean exciting on multiple levels; he's almost a godsend straight out of central casting for what the Jags needed *off* the field and he's just as good on the field.

The minute I saw him on that segment ESPN runs with Jon Gruden prior to the draft, I immediately said I want this guy for the Jags. But even I didn't think he was going to perform as well as he has. The man exudes level-headed competence and a love for being right here in River City. We were due to get lucky and it appears we have.
